We really enjoyed our stay at Loki and it is the best hostel to come to if you want to party in Lima, theres not a lot of sights so it is a good idea. However, we were really disappointed with the staff and found the staff at the desk rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. They do not allow you to extend your stay in advance as they cant be bothered to go through existing reservations and reserve you a bed.

'We were only passing through this hostel for the night and wished we could have stayed longer. A good crowd and very helpful staff. Nice big dorm rooms and a decent breakfast.

Nice hostel in the perfect location in the centre of the Old Town. Very pretty building. Atmosphere is nice in the evenings. Well equipped kitchen. Staff were not always that helpful.

This was our "splash out" in La Paz and was well worth it. Great private room with hot shower and TV. Breakfast was best we have had in Bolivia.

Really nice hostel and you need to book ahead as they get very full. With breakfast you get a REAL coffee which was a welcome break. Nice atmosphere, particularly in the courtyard (perfect for sunbathing) and the bar area at night. Would definitely recommend.

Best choice for Uyuni - amazing showers for post salt flats tour especially!

Mamatierra Hostel

Really good hostel by San Pedro´s standards - nice breakfast with eggs, cereal, yoghurt and fruit, and hot water for powerful showers all day which was great. However, there is not a 24 hour reception as no one is at the desk at night - we had a power cut at 7pm one night and no one switched the power back on until 7am the next day, which was really inconvenient for everyone!

Really nice small hostel, a home from home. Decent kitchen, nice breakfasts, comfortable rooms. Really cool furniture and decorations and one of the cutest rooms we´ve stayed in. Would recommend.

Amazing atmosphere in this hostel. So communal and friendly. They run really great activities every night that are brilliant value - definitely do the horseriding at sunset it was amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful. It needs a few more bathrooms but the dorms are a good size.

Great hostel with brilliant kitchen and really clean and spacious 4 bed dorms. Because it´s so big and modern it feels a bit more like a hotel than a hostel. The communal area is very nice with extremely comfy sofas! Good location too. Would definitely recommend.

Really big hostel, perfect if you want to party but also runs lots of walking tours etc and is easy to get around the city from it. Very secure and the kitchen is good for cooking.. wifi is alright but didnt reach our room. The room was really nice, good shower and very clean generally. I would definitely recommend to other travellers, but dont go if you are not interested in the nightlife of BA as you will be woken up

This is a fine hostel but isn stand out. The staff were really helpful with booking our other transport and making sure we could find everything. Although, the BBQ they arranged wasnt really worth the money as we didnt get much to eat each (and it was called all you can eat): The area itself is also a little bit dangerous, but is a good location to get to all the sights during the day.

Hostel in a really nice building, really short walk to the port & bus station, and the old town. Shower was really good and the breakfast was better than lots we have had in South America. Staff were really helpful.

Hostel in a very convenient location opposite the bus station. It´s a standard hostel, fine for visiting the falls, but not much character as it´s a large complex. The kitchen lets it down as we felt it was dirty and ill-equipped. The bar has a good happy hour on beers and caipirinhas but dont expect much of the breakfast.

Amazing hostel! Very helpful staff, good breakfast and the meals organised for everyone were amazing and really communal... best BBQ we´ve had yet. The only downside is that you can´t use the kitchen on evenings when a meal is being organised... apart from that it´s a perfect location right on the beach, with lots of suggestions to do in Florianopolis.

Very helpful staff who tell you where to go and some tips that aren´t in the guidebook. Very clean bathrooms and bedrooms, bunks which you can actually sit up in the bottom bunk, and a decent breakfast.
