Landing Pads Brunswick

Melbourne, Australia

What a fantastic week at landing pads. Used it as a base to get set up in Melbourne ... Brunswick is great and now actually living in the area; far better than st kilda. Cheers to matt for taking us round the local pubs, always want a local (even if he is technically a kiwi!) as a guide. Aside from the awesome area and staff, had a blast meeting other backpackers. V social environment and the setup is ideal for meeting ppl if you're travelling solo. Cheers for the intro to Aussie life :)

Nomads Queenstown

Queenstown, New Zealand

Great location, helpful staf but lets itself down (as do the majority of hostels in NZ to be fair) with a lack of free internet. Why do all hostels charge? Also operates a 'no alchohol' policy. I can understand why this is in place for the alcoholic tourists of the world, but it can feel criminalising when you just want to drink a casual supermarket bought beer without having to stand outside in the cold.

Hi Andrew, We are glad you enjoyed your stay and wish you well for the rest of your travels. Yes it is a shame for the few who cause no trouble when drinking and it was due to a few bad seeds over a long period of time who that this was put in place. Hope to see you in Queenstown again soon :) Kindest regards Manager @ Nomads Queenstown

Let's Rock Hostel

Krakow, Poland

The receptionists were amazing; had a great time with them. Location is great also. Only downside was the number of 15 yr old swedish school kids when i was there. Any other time...awesome

Hostel Altis

Prague, Czech Republic

Miles and miles away from the centre. Certainly not walking distance.
