Great experience overall; there's not much in the way of competition for this hostel which is unfortunate but they offer a great experience and are in a perfect location. Having to pay to store luggage the day I was leaving was lame but that's a minor gripe. The rooms are big and it didn't feel like there were six people even though there were. One of the best hostels I've stayed at.
Really enjoyed my stay at the Philadelphia House hostel. Very clean place in a perfect location with great atmosphere as there were fun bar tours both nights I was there (which didn't cost anything btw). Staff were friendly and helpful. My only recommendation would be a more secure location for leaving your luggage after check out. Most hostels I've been to store luggage in a locked area whereas this hostel did not. Would def stay again and recommend to others.
Fun atmosphere at Bounce; definitely catered towards a partying crowd but you can find places to chill here as well. The location is great and very central.
Enjoyed my stay at Gold Coast.
Enjoyed my stay. The staff was helpful and I loved being in a location I might not have visited otherwise. The bus you need to take to get there is fairly frequent; the wait didn't detract my from experience in Portland at all. The Hawthorne area is great with lots of cool shops and movie theaters to check out. The hostel has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Only wish would be for lockers by the beds but I was never really worried. Would recommend if staying in Portland.
Enjoyed my stay - the Chinatown/International location is convenient for checkout out Seattle and there is a great dining area to chill out.
Whether you'll enjoy your stay depends on what you're looking for. This is very much a party hostel and since my room happened to be above their after hours party room, it was very hard to get much sleep. To be fair when I brought this up at 4AM the staff did have them turn the music down. The dinner and club event was fun and the location is great if you want to see Hollywood.
Nice hostel with a friendly staff, good breakfast and pleasant atmosphere. The hostel is close to two MRT stations so getting down to Clarke Quay isn't hard; if that's where you want to spend all your time you may consider being closer but I didn't feel the location detracted from my trip. Loved the rooftop; it was never very crowded when I was there but it's a nice place to chill out and relax.
Great hostel; friendly staff and a central location which allows you to easily get wherever you'd like to go.
This is a great hostel if you're in Bangkok to party and meet new people...if you're looking to get a lot of sleep good luck. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There's a great common room where people congregate and meet. The location is right by Khao San. One thing that should be noted is their internet is a pain to log on to. You need to enter passwords each time rather than just once - must've logged on over 20 times. Good place depending on what you're looking for in Bangkok.
This is an ok hostel to stay at in PP. The defining moment of my time in the hostel was when I noticed there was a large iguana in my bathroom. The way their windows were set up it had no trouble getting in. This made brushing my teeth and showering quite the experience. The staff was helpful and friendly; I wasn't a big fan of the city which is not the fault of the hostel; actually let a night early to get more time at Angkor Wat.
Had a great time at the Vy Khanh hostel. The staff is very friendly and helpful; the location is within walking distance of the palace and Opera house and any sights you'll want to see. My room had it's own bathroom and shower and despite being on the first floor right next to reception it was very quiet (not having windows helped in this regard). The staff helped me book trips and set up my bus to Cambodia; make sure you take a metered cab here from the airport/bus.
Had a great time at the Hostel. Brendon (think that was his name) gave a great tour on Saturday and the party Saturday night in the hostel was a blast. Nice breakfast, central location and cool atmosphere - everything you'd want from a hostel.
Spent a nice week in this hostel. Enjoyed the included breakfast and met cool people in my room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Security is decent as they change the codes every few days. The floors were a bit creaky but with headphones I had no trouble sleeping. The area the hostel is in is quiet yet fun and a short walk from Soho and a useful tube station. Overall, this is a fine place to see London from. You really feel like you're right in the middle of everything.
Great place to stay in Edinburgh. Lots of space to socialize and good lockers and bathrooms. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Good location within walking distance to Temple Bar and the major sites. Spent a nice night here. Free internet use a plus. Overall positive experience.
Very solid hostel. It's close to the station which I think is a very convenient location to stay in. Good social areas for meeting people and nice staff. They offer cheap internet but the computers are always taken. There are better youth hostels in Rome you could stay at but this is a solid choice.
Decent hostel. Enjoyed the free breakfast. The location is pretty good but you'll be using the metro to get to any major sight other than Moulin Rouge. Nothing spectacular but a good hostel overall.
Great hostel, has everything you could want except for free breakfast and a location right in the center of town...however, there are groceries nearby and the center of town is only a 10 minute walk away. Definitely would recommend this as a place to stay. Great common area for hanging out with other travelers.
Nice location not too far from Moulin Rouge. Good value for Paris.
Fairly average hostel. Location is decent as it is close to the main museums but is a little bit of a hike to the train station and red light district. Area is very cool as there are tons of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Shower wasn't great but was acceptable. Free breakfast is good. Overall a fine place to stay.
This hostel really feels and is set up like a hotel. Clean rooms and good security. Only drawback is the location. It's probably a 5 to 10 minute walk from the subway station and can be challenging to find. Still, once you're there it's a great hostel with an awesome all you can eat breakfast available.
Great hostel, short walk from the train station and a reasonable to walk to any major sight in the city. Great lounge and atmosphere makes it easy to meet people and the building is definitely secure. Great choice to stay.
Excellent hostel. Cool atmosphere where you can meet other travellers. Internet, kitchen, very cool staff. They let me check out then store my luggage there the whole day. Also had to cancel a night without notice and it was no big deal. The location is good but you'll probably be using the metro stop right by the hostel a few time if you stay. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic hostel. Free internet, close to the city center and main metro station. Very clean and well run. There is even a kitchen. Not sure what more you could ask for.
Decent location, not too far from Rialto bridge. Cleanliness is about average, no lockers which would have been nice. Was easier to find that I´d expected using the given directions. Good inexpensive hostel in a typically expensive city.
Location is decent, very close to Uffizi and center of town, bit of a walk to the Academia. The security is a bit lax, someone could really just walk in that place in the middle of the day and walk into the room-no lockers provided. I kept my valuables with me and left the my other stuff in the room. Overall a decent hostel.
