Laos Haven Hotel

Vang Vieng, Laos
91%

We stayed in a private room. The hotel seemed very new and still had a little construction in the lobby. Our room was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Location wise, it's a little bit south of the main parts of VV. But VV is pretty small so it wasn't a problem. They give you a pretty good breakfast too. The staff was very helpful and we even went out with Marcus at night. We would definitely stay here again.

Khammany Inn Hostel

Luang Prabang, Laos

We stayed in a private room. The room was decently sized and clean. Both beds were slightly more comfortable than average. The bathroom was pretty standard and clean. The Inn is a little bit on the outskirts of LP, but it's not too far of a walk to get into the main town area (~20 minutes). They gave us breakfast too and it was a pretty good value. The staff also helped us book a nice tour of the Pak Ou caves and Kuang Si waterfall.

Kikies House

Chiang Mai, Thailand

We stayed in one of the private rooms for a few nights. The room was decently sized and the beds were decently comfortable. Both came with mosquito nets. The room was clean and a bit nicer than your average room. The bathroom was also clean and otherwise standard. Location wise, a lot of places are walkable from Kikie's since it's located in the NE part of the Old City. Kikie was pretty good in helping us arrange our day trips (Ziplining, trekking, elephants).

Pineapple Guesthouse

We stayed in a three person private room. The room was nicely sized, but otherwise pretty standard. One of the beds was pretty old (springy), but the other was great. It was pretty clean. The bathroom was also pretty standard and clean. It had a good location and was a short walk from the Karon beaches. And it was near the Pad Thai Shop! But it was a little far from Patong and some of the other areas. The staff was really helpful though in getting taxis and setting up our Koh Phi Phi tour.

Koh Phangan, Thailand

Stayed here for the half moon party. The location was great and the rooms were very spacious and clean. The bathroom actually had a short wall separating the shower. The atmosphere was also really good. We made friends with the other people staying there. The staff were very helpful with food recs, renting motorbikes, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

La Posada de Huertas

The hostal was great overall. They provided a magnetic lock that opened the front door, room door, and private locker. They also had a social directer(?) who ran different events like a tapas tour, pub crawl, flamenco show, etc. It was a good way to meet other people at the hostal and have a great time. Breakfast isn't the greatest and the internet on the provided computers wasn't the best, but those aren't necessarily the most important things.
