Dina's Hostel

Cairo, Egypt

I stayed 2 nights as a solo female traveller in March. Arriving late at night the hostel organized a transfer from the airport which was good. Security is basically non existent which I experienced on the first night when someone tried to get into my bed. The showers are shocking, I tried 3 and none had more pressure than a leaking tap. On my last day the driver was 45 minutes late and the guy at reception seemed pissed at me when I asked him to chase up the driver. Service lacking.

While the hostel is not the conventional type, ie its a flat turned into a hostel in old town Belgrade, use your imagination, it was one of the best places I have ever stayed! Srdjan is the kindest host I have ever met, so welcoming and will go above and beyond to help you out! Tryuly the best place in belgrade!

Chisinau Hostel

Chisinau, Moldova

Was clean and staff were nice enough, not exactly central but it is a cheap and quick tram ride with the locals into town, Cant rate fun and character as there was only one other person there. Best option in Chisinau I would say

Kipps Brighton

Initially it was nice to be there, but then because of construction to get to our room we had to weave around machines and the sort. We also had to share a room even though we are not a couple. The worst was being woken at 9am with a electronic saw being used right outside our room, and then going to use the shower that had absolutely no pressure. And when I mentioned at front desk that it had not been A nice way to wake up she didnt even apologise. I understand that the work needs to be done.

Hi Thank you for your comments. Again apologises for the building works, which have now been completed. With regards to your comment that you had to share a double room, I would just like to point out that the staff member offered to upgrade you from the dormitory room to a double room and explained that there was a double bed, you said that this was fine. As away of an apology the reception staff in the morning offered you free breakfast for the inconvenience caused by the noise. Kipps Brighton
