My friend and I stayed in this great place in early July. This place has it all: big, clean, bright rooms, modern bathrooms, reliable hot waters, comfy beds, voluminous breakfasts etc. Location is super central - in the old town and a short walking distance to all the sites, the best restaurants, bus to Mondello (beach side) and ferry to the Aeolian islands. Claudio, the host, is a real gentleman. He made our Palermo experience extra special! Ps and best free wifi we found in all of Sicily!

Riad Sidi Omar

Marrakech, Morocco

This Riad was an absolute gem in the craziness of the Medina. 100% reliable hot water showers, comfortable beds, clean quiet rooms, lovely roof top terrace, big yummy breakfasts, free laundry and great location (5 minute easy to the Djaama el-Fna). But the best part of the Riad was Sidi Omar himself. He was the best host we could have ever ask for and arranged our whole 5 day trek in the High Atlas. Support the local Moroccon community and become a friend of Sidi Omars by staying at his Riad!

Oasis Hotel Luxor

Luxor, Egypt
100%

FANTASTIC budget hotel in a very convenient part of Luxor (next door to a brilliant Egyptian restaurant - Sofra, round the corner from the train station and easy walking distance to Nile and Luxor Temple). The staff were incredibly helpful and helped us organise everything from ferry tickets (from Hurghada to Sharm), taxis, WestBank tours and buses to Hurghada. Rooms are basic but are clean. Breakfasts were good and served in a lovely location on the rooftop terrace. INCREDIBLE value for money.

They helped us organise a great trip to Abu Simbel (and comparing prices with other travellers, we paid the cheapest amongst those we surveyed). Very friendly, helpful and flexible staff.
