The staff make this place, so friendly and helpful. Patient too! If I come back to HK I will definitely stay here again :) Thank you for the map and recommendations for restaurants and things to do!
This is quite a quiet hostel, so I didn't really meet anyone apart from who was in my own dorm. There is a common area but it's just an open space, maybe some tables here would be good! Facilities really good though, full kitchen, computers, wifi, self service laundry (better cos you can get your clothes back faster) and also a TV on the top floor where I was able to watch EPL matches! Always good! Thanks for a great stay.
Had a great stay. There's a good vibe in the traveller cafe in the evening, especially around the pool table. They also have really good Belgian beers for cheap (Rochefort, Chimay etc) which for me was a godsend after drinking so much terrible rice lager throughout China for so long. If you want breakfast/coffee there in the morning, plan plenty of time. If it's busy they don't cope too well service wise. I would definitely recommend staying here though, and Shanghai is an awesome city!
Really cool vibe here, a series of courtyards with lots of greenery and singing birds. The bar below it is on the Xian nightlife map and pretty buzzing, but the noise is isolated from the rooms completely so you can always sleep well. The traveller cafe at the back is handy for breakfast/coffee/dinner/beer whenever you need it. They had a dumpling/dancing show deal which I did alone (no one else on the list for it!) but I loved it and would recommend!
I have booked 30+ places all around the world and this was the best of them all. Having huge lengths of the great wall to yourself is completely mindblowing. If you are hesitating about booking here, stop it and just GO!! Delicious home cooked food, good beer selection, friendly cats, lovely staff, luxury toilets, super comfy beds (even in dorm) and set in a very welcoming village. They have a good driver who can pick you up at the 980 bus stop, this is a good way to avoid hassle.
They booked a train ticket for me for a small fee, which saved me wasting time at the station trying to find an English desk. I recommend that you use this convenient service! I had a great stay at this hostel, it's really homely and I had lots of interesting conversations in the courtyard with other travellers. I felt the breakfast and coffee were a bit overpriced, but these are optional extras anyway. They have a computer with VPN which is really good for facebook etc.
A nice (free!) welcome at the train station, pleasant stay and a good 2 day tour to Terelj and ger family. Thanks guys!
The kitchen is pretty well equipped for preparing a decent meal. Although it's quite small, the hostel is great for meeting people. They got me bus tickets to Olkhon Island for a good price.
Small but really nice place to stay, and very good value for money. Easy to walk to from the train station. It seems that sometimes no one is there so make sure they know your arrival time!
Nice lounge. Code door for luggage room and lockers in the dorm room made security excellent. Ask them for directions to Grabli restaurant, cheap and excellent variety of food on offer!
Small place but nice. Comfy beds. Kitchen is basically a microwave and kettle only, but this wasn't a problem for me. There is a large supermarket across the road which was really useful. They helped me get a letter of invitation for my visa which was very very helpful!
Really nice hostel, friendly staff and a good social vibe. Would recommend.
Great hostel, keycard access to rooms makes for good security.
Location could not be better if you have an early train, ask them for the shortcut to the station!
Great bar attached which is separate enough to not disturb sleep. Nice outdoor seats and excellent belgian beers sold pretty damn cheap!
Great place, a real home away from home. Super comfy dorms, caring staff, nice kitchen and a nice desktop computer with a massive screen. Nice living room area with TV also, good for chatting with people. Ask them for the shortcut to Mcdonalds.. this will get you to the main part of St Julian's much faster, from where you can take buses to other areas.
Really cool hostel with a lovely colourful interior. Breakfast is included and quite a feast. Tea and shisha are constantly available for free. They arranged a 3 day Sahara tour for us which was excellent and very cheap at only 950 dirhams. I highly recommend staying here.
Only spent one night here but it was more than satisfactory. They have computers with internet and free mint tea. Abdul was an excellent, entertaining host. If I return to Casablanca, I will stay here again.
Surely the best hostel in Morocco. Staff were amazing, and the central part of the hostel is great for meeting people. The guided tours they offer are excellent and cheap, and I would recommend them as the medina of Fes is an absolute labyrinth and you will never get to see all the best parts without getting lost and harassed if doing it alone. They offer good value cooked dinners also. The chicken pastella here was the best meal I had in my whole 2 week trip in Morocco!
The roof terrace is really nice. There are usually some hippies smoking up there. We don't smoke but they were very nice people nonetheless. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast (costs extra) was nice to eat on the roof in the sun. Computers with internet were available. Cool place, would stay again.
Comfy beds. Kind of a dead atmosphere but it was off season and we were just staying here to catch the morning ferry to Morocco. Good value for money, would recommend to anyone staying in Tarifa.
Nice big kitchen. Showers were a bit weak but good for the price and great location.
Cool hostel with a great location. They have a big TV with a PS2 and pro evo soccer... perfect when it's too hot to go out or you just want to chill =)
It's a bus ride to old town Dubrovnik, but this is the case for almost all affordable accommodation in this area. This hostel is huge and has pretty much every facility you could want. The family that runs it showed us amazing hospitality during our stay, cooked us dinner and made the whole experience well worth what is quite a high price for a hostel. Breakfast was amazing as well - home made French toast with a choice of spreads, cereals and cheese. If you fill up on this you won't need lunch.
One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. Free pick up is great, and you should definitely not miss the city tour they offer - you will experience Sarajevo from the perspective of somebody who has spent his whole life there and it's truly amazing. Their hospitatilty goes far beyond anything I've seen before... just STAY HERE!!
Loving the chilled out staff. Huge lockers in room and really nice vibe to the place. Top bunks don't have anything to stop you rolling off so be careful =) Zagreb is a really cool city and would love to return.
Huge lockers in the room were great. Free breakfast includes a choice of muesli which is always a good filler. Shower lasts about 5 seconds so you have to keep pushing the button but to be honest this isn't really a big deal.
Amazing staff, very helpful. Free bikes and free laundry was awesome. You can get a good nights sleep because it's not a party hostel. Nightlife is not far if you do want to party. Will definitely return if in Bled.
Very friendly staff, good price for Paris. The ensuite bathroom for my 6 bed dorm was very clean. Keycards give good security for your dorm but lockers in the room would be a nice addition. Breakfast was fairly basic (croissant etc) but then it always is in France. All in all a great stay.

The first hostel I had ever been to, and still the best so far! $5 hot dinners are terrific value.
