I found it disappointing that the towel rail easily came out from the wall and that the kitchenette was poorly equipped - we had only two dessert spoons, two teaspoons, two plates and one bowl. In a studio apartment I expected there to be two of everything - a full set of crockery, cutlery and glassware. On a positive note, we appreciated the tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided and towels were a bonus. Location is excellent, particularly for Vector Arena.
The common room, kitchen and bathroom facilities are very small considering the number of people the hostel sleeps. The bedrooms are cramped and there are no lockers. It says the toilets are checked once an hour but given the state of them sometimes I don't believe they are.
Viru is the quiet hostel - great for sleeping but lacking in its own character and "fun" aspect. Tallinn Backpackers was awesome to hang out in - fantastic staff, fun friendly atmosphere, nice large open common room. Would definitely recmomend both Viru (if you like it to be quiet for sleeping) and Tallinn if you want to drink every night and meet some awesome people.
Possibly the best hostel I have stayed in in Poland. The staff are fantastic. And the location is perfect.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very informative. One bathroom in the 12-bed dorm is insufficient when there is no other option and everyone is getting up at the same time - another shared toilet and wash basin (for the whole hostel) would be useful.
The meet and greet at the train station was fabulous - I wasn\'t expecting it (I may not have read the hostel features properly or I may have forgotten that feature) but it was nice to have someone help you buy your bus ticket and get on the correct bus.The staff were very friendly and very good at providing information about the area. I would definitely stay here again.
I loved this place!! The citadel is adorable, the hotel was very close to the train station and the room was lovely. Very comfortable bed, TV in the room, clean ensuite bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice bathroom - very clean and nice shower. Good breakfast. Small TV room. No lock on the bedroom door. Comfortable bed.
We only stayed one night so can't really comment on the "fun" aspect. The staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting somewhere nearby for dinner. The bedroom was very comfortable but the floor was quite dirty, you needed to brush your feet off before getting into bed.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and accommodating - they were able to provide an early breakfast when we had a day trip that departed before the regular breakfast hours. The bedroom floor was quite dirty, you didn't really want to walk on it with bare feet.
It seemed they were redecorating when we stayed. Odd rules like you must use the lift (not the stairs) during the night (I think it was 10pm-6am or something) and there was a sign asking you to remain out of the hostel between 11am and 4pm for cleaning. Beautiful room though. Probably wouldn't stay there again.
Perfect directions given on the booking confirmation (from train station).
Would definitely stay again. The staff were fantastic. One bathroom had a permanent smell of urine, despite being clean. The window in my room was opened by someone during the day while I was out and there was no handle to close it that night - quite cold at night in November! Generally though, the place was warm, clean and friendly. Almost on top of the Rynek so perfect location too.
Had a fabulous time at Hostal Forestal. The staff were very welcoming. The facilities are fairly basic but very clean. Would stay there again.
