Riad Massine II

Marrakech, Morocco

I had a few problems with this generally good riad. Firstly, its very difficult to find, and the hostel does little to aid your directions, leaving you at the mercy of those willing to offer their service for money. That's not unusual but they were very unhelpful once we arrived and tried to negotiate a reasonable price with our guide ( who became 'guides i.e. demanding money for his friend) Secondly the rooms have no locks or lockers. Thirdly, the hot water in our room was very on/off i.e. 2 minutes

it's not true that we do not do the necessary to help our guests to get to the Riad. it's true that it's not easy to find the first time.. but it's the case for all the Riads (in the old town) for this we suggest all our guests to take our airport pickup or to call us from Jamae El fna square (the famous square) we will come meet you there and take you the the Hostel

The staff are amazing - really good fun and incredibly helpful. Tons going on with themed night e.g. Polish beer nights. Great place to meet other travellers.

This is at the end of the metro line and still requires a bus afterwards. Some of the staff are very nice. Cleanliness is an issue for, toilets, mosquitoes and the odd cockroach ( but not in the bedrooms)
