A great place to stay close to beautiful Lake Geneva! We heartily recommend it, you won't find a better place for the money.

OK hostel, what you would expect from an HI hostel. However, the manager at the front desk (she said she was the manager) was very hostel to us. We were not impressed with her attitude and she definitely did not leave us with a good feeling. The 'rules' for eating dinner are not setup for guests. If you would like dinner you must reserve it before you get there... if not enough people reserve, no dinner! You can't reserve when you check in (5pm) because it's too late. Not helpful or friendly.

Great place, what you would expect from an HI hostel. A bit of a hike (though not bad) so you might want to figure out the bus system!

WAIT! Don't book a dorm at this place if you aren't ready for a real dorm experience. We are experienced trekkers with 50+ nights in tight dorms, but if you're not, find somewhere else. Tiny room, everyone sleeps side by side. Roommates did not follow lights out and stayed up late chatting. No place for luggage. Sink backed up (disgusting) and took 2 days to get it fixed. Older place, near the lake, sadly no beach. Free kayaks are a plus. Breakfast is OK.

This hostel is a great find! It has all the amenities you would expect from a HI hostel. Friendly staff, great value for the price.

This place is just a great location! We splurged for the private room for 2 and it was well worth the price! Very large room with closet, towel rack and towels! The breakfast seems a bit over priced - you can easily walk to a grocery or nearby patisserie and feed yourself better at less cost - but for being right by the lake, it can't be beat.

Youthhostel Zermatt

This is not a fancy hostel with a unique vibe or feel - but it is CLEAN, SAFE, WELL MANAGED and has: an EXCELLENT BREAKFAST!!! (Plus great bathrooms too!) It reminded us a bit like staying in a college dorm that sleeps 4 instead of 2. It's a really great base for your stay in Zermatt, where you're supposed to be out enjoying the mountains - so if you just plan to use your room for sleeping - you're set!

We love the location of this hostel and how helpful and friendly the staff are. It is very close to Lake Geneva/Lac Lemond and has a great balcony for eating dinner on and watching the sunset. The kitchen is also great and well equipped! Has a bit of a hacker hostel feel that is new, wish it wasn't so, but that didn't really interfere with our stay - if you want great value by the lake, this is the place!

Noisey because there's no A/C and it's super hot in Madrid right now so you need to keep the windows open, but Spaniards party until the weee hours of the morning (5 or 6 am) so if that makes it hard for you to sleep, you might try finding a place with Air Conditioning. pretty average hostel.

enjoyed our stay. Super hot. Can be loud at night if your room is above the bar because you have to keep windows open to stay cool. only 1 fan for room with 2 rooms. nice room though, lots of space, pretty hostel, nice location. ok breakfast. nice tours. good location. cheap drinks - but so are tapas in all the bars (drink+food).

Nice, quiet place to stay. Very secure and safe, close to Metro and Plaza Mayor, also Puerta del Sol. No A\C, but they did put 2 fans in the bedroom which really helped. Wish we could have stayed longer to try out the kitchen. Thanks!

they have security measures to check who enters the hostel, but they do not use them... not very secure. they have noise rules that are not enforced, people were up and loud in the halls until well past midnight and then came stumbling in drunk at 5 AM very loud. This hostel is very big - lots of people, which means lots of noise. breakfast was good. No AC so it was very hot. we had a creepy room with no outside window (just to a central air shaft) it was a bit scary, probably not USA legal

A great place to stay!! Clean, quiet, helpful!! Very comfortable rooms. A bit of a ride on the metro, but the metro system is easy to use, especially from the train.

This is a hostel for young people who like to flirt and drink. if that´s not you, consider staying somewhere else. It´s very large, guessing over 100 people and they have a huge restuarant-bar that stays busy until the wee hours of the morning. free wi'fi and computers are nice, but they keep the music blaring even in the morning during breakfast. helpful staff will give you good ideas to see the city. no AC, bit of a tram ride to the beach

Camping Rialto

This is a camp site. Don't stay here if you don't want to camp. Limited interactions with fellow campers. Small tents, but they don't leak in the rain. Review are true: bring your own TP. Bus is a bit confusing the first time. There are many stops called °via orlando° just stay on the bus until you see the camping rialto sign on the right side of the road.

awesome hostel! Our room was a private, more like a hotel. gorgeous view out at sacre coure! we couldn't have gotten a better room at a better price anywhere in the city. good breakfast. nice staff, helpful. right near the metro and gare de nord station (we walked from the station, easy 15 minutes). free maps. free wifi in lounge area. nice kitchen. clean.

Good location. Good breakfast. Hot showers. Have London maps and lots of tips on things to do and see. Very helpful. Kind of a dump. You will not want to hang out in your room. Ours was a mixed room in the annex. Old and everything that comes with being old. Clean sheets and pillows.

We had a great private room. Easy access to showers and restrooms. No waiting! Full place, but still quiet, very fun lounge area. Nice breakfast. Very helpful staff - got us map, directions, bus tickets, etc! Highly recommend.

Great hostel if you're there for the football - if it's not a football weekend, very quiet. This was OK for us, we had a mixed room, but nobody else showed. showers were AWESOME and hot! WiFi does not work in the rooms because of the low signal strength. I could almost connect in the lounge, had no trouble upstairs and ended up sitting in front of the pay computers to get service with a bit of privacy. nice breakfast. can't go wrong for the price

thanks for your review. the lounge has a different password than the one in your room. it was not full this weekend as normal as your right, manchester had no event on in particualar. to be honest us staff enjoyed the break lol.. we hope to see you again soon! x

There is nothing special about this place. Some rooms have very low ceilings and some do not have real windows. The rooms are clean and the own does try to accommodate groups so that couples can stay together (which was great, for all purposes we had a private room with connected bathroom, at the price for a shared room). The included breakfast is amazing, the best we've had anywhere and the beach is great. However the hostel is not somewhere to hang out or relax, no pictures, just beds.

This is a CAMPGROUND first-then a hostel. If you don't want to camp, don't stay here!Private rooms are VERY SMALL trailers, you can hear and feel the people next door. But, we still had a good time. They have an excellent restaurant (highly recommend the risotto) and the pool was great. HOWEVER - the trip to and from Rome is 1 hour, the rooms have no AC or fan, and because it is on the river, there are lots of misquitos. They have nice showers, bathrooms and sinks made for washing clothes.

Hostel Sampaoli

Florence, Italy

This was a good place to stay. We had a private room and shared bath. Not a big deal sharing the bathroom, it was never busy. The room had screens and a fan to help keep it cool, but Florence is HOT in the summer, so you may want somewhere with AC. They had free DVDs to watch and books (in many languages!) lots of tourist books too. Near the train station and main markets.

This was a great place to stay! A bit more than a regular hostel, but you get so much!! We saved money by cooking in the kitchen. Good location rating because it is on the main street, and whatever is going on you hear in your room (be it a loud party at the bar or fireworks from the rooms above...) Of course, that is what adds to the character of the whole place - you will feel like you are an Italian. We had a wonderful time, would stay again in a heartbeat!!

LOVED THIS PLACE!! Amazing view of the lake, the staff was so helpful. They have great ideas for keeping busy or just relaxing. Menaggio is a town we hope to return to, so glad we had the chance to visit. I can't say enough about the lake and area. The only reason for the average security rating is because there was no locked storage area and the doors were rarely locked. But a wonderful place - such a great deal for the price - breakfast included!!! Thanks for a great stay!!
