Heathrow Hostel

Heathrow, England
43%

If you need to stay close to Heathrow it may be worth staying at this hostel for a night or so, but apart from that, this hostel has some serious issues. In one of the bathrooms, the toilet is missing. There's just a pipe that's connected to nothing with a sign above it that says "Do not flush toilet paper". That says it all really. Plus it smells really weird. For a hostel it has quite a price tag on it too. Do not recommend for more than a night.

This is a nice little hostel in a great location. It's above a bar, but you can't hear any noise from the rooms. The staff are very friendly. The only tiny complaint I have is that the plug sockets are not accessible from most beds, but apart from that I really liked this place and would go back again, definitely.

Second time I stayed. It's a very nice place where you will be comfortable, but don't expect the authentic hostel experience here.

It's a well equipped hostel and very clean, I would probably staff here again although the staff here aren't exactly enthusiastic about their jobs (apart from the hairy guy at reception, he was very helpful!) but will give help when asked.

Great location in a building that's almost entirely owned by the hostel. It's also very clean and modern. Would recommend staying here over other places.

I really enjoyed this hostel. It's quite a large operation but you still manage to receive great customer service and a personal level of attention from the staff. It's also a very social environment so it's very easy to meet people!

Whitetail Backpacker & Hostel

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! The hostel owners are really friendly and are really keen on you having a great time in Seoul, they'll even help to arrange things for you or try to help you with directions when you want to visit something. On the last night I was there they took a group of us to a light show at the Gyeongbokgung Palace and a walk around Seoul, then sent the pictures by email! They also offer an amazing laundry service, clothes have never been so organised!

I really liked this hostel, it's definitely of a better standard than most hostels in China. The staff are reasonably pleasant and the decor is really something. It almost seems like a hostel built into a hotel....in a good way! The environment and set up was really nice too which makes it a pretty social place so it would be quite a good stop if you're on your own in Shanghai.

For the price you pay to stay here, I really can't complain. You've got everything you'd really need, plus a restaurant with a fridge where you can buy drinks for a reasonable price. The showers are combined with the toilets, so if that's something you can't handle you might want to give this place a pass, however the shower/toilet combo does include a curtain which goes over your hanging clothes to prevent them from getting wet! The staff are nice enough too.

Best hostel I've ever stayed at! Trevor and Lisa really want to know everyone that comes through their door and are always eager to interact with their guests and share their extensive knowledge of Tallinn and the surrounding area. I actually saw them express a little disappointment over the fact that they hadn't been able to get to talk to one of their guests as much as they'd like! They really are in it for the love of the job and it shows! I would definitely stay there again if ever returned

This hostel is awesome! It's got a huge living room area which just invites people in and it doesn't have too many rooms so isn't too busy either. Whether you're quiet or loud you won't feel out of place here. It's also very clean and well kept, it has everything you need and a personality go with it!

Jimmy Jumps House/Hostel

The hostel was very clean and wasn't lacking at all in facilities, however on my trip I didn't find the atmosphere of the hostel as great as it was made out to be. To summarise, all the facilities were there and it was all clean, but that was about it, which is fair enough really considering the price. Also when you get to the hostel, the gate is locked. There seems to be no way to communicate with the inside apart from calling on your phone and getting them to let you in.

Hello! Thanks for leaving your comments :) Yes, the gate is locked for security purposes, and the way that everybody communicates with staff is through the intercom. We explained to you that the reason nobody answered the door is because staff stepped out for literally 2 minutes to show a guest to her room next door :) She also apologized and gave you a shot of vodka too to smooth over the mistake! Hope your travels are great! Take it easy!

The hostel has a great location, just off Taksim, however we went away for the weekend and when we came back the non-english speaking hostel employee was snoring away and it took us about half an hour to get in. When we did get in someone else was sleeping in my friends bed!

Pros - Nice and helpful staff Great location (next to and opposite both tube stations) Cheap Web cafe around the corner Cons - No common room You have to pay for lockers (£2 per 24 hours for the smallest locker, and a tiny bit more for the medium and large) You have to constantly press the button in the shower for water Wi-fi is useless (there's no point even trying to use it)

This is an amazing place. It's completely spotless, the staff are very kind, there is free wifi and free computer terminals, it's in a great location (just down the road from the Bolhao station, which is the happening part of the city), and the place looks like it was built yesterday. It also has a very spacious common room. As I went in the low season, they gave me a whole dorm room to myself! It was absolutely fantastic!

Travellers House

This hostel is absolutely top notch. Not only is it spotless but it also has a good wifi connection in the lounge area, some computers for you to browse, IPads to borrow from the reception and a big dining room where scrambled eggs on toast is served in the mornings. On top of all this you have compartments with a padlock to store your stuff securely under the bed, which also have a small safe inside for the extremely theft-concious travellers out there. Staff are the best i've seen in a hostel!

The staff in the hostel were very kind and informative, the room was clean and there was a breakfast buffet downstairs in the morning. There was also a big lounge area that had the comfiest sofa's i've even seen in a hostel. Free wifi with great connection and desktop computer usage too.

This is probably the cleanest and most modern hostel i've ever stayed in. It has nice showers and is very comfortable. It's also in a very good location in South Kensington, which is basically London's museum district. It's quite large though and it seems that there is a charge for anything that doesn't consist of the bed and the storage compartment underneath it!
