Poramba Hostel

Puerto Iguazu, Argentina

Of all hostels that we stayed at on our trip in Chile and Argentina, this was our least favorite. Wifi was only in the lounge and the bed was super uncomfortable. The lounge wasn't much of a lounge... it felt more like a lobby, and it was cold (raining for most of the time we were there). The nice thing though was that there was a private bathroom in every room and breakfast was pretty good.

Pretty far our of the city center - 10 minutes by bus. Other than that, it was a pretty cool place to stay. The staff made the place great though. They were really friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a ride to the bus terminal and let us borrow their adaptor. Would recommend this place, especially if you're looking for a place to mingle with other travelers.

Staff was great and friendly. They were really helpful when it came to us planning our activities to do in Pucon. They even had recommendations and a map for our next trip to Bariloche. Quaint place to stay. Highly recommend it.

Mamatierra Hostel

San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

The place was cute, but what made this place great was the staff. Cynthina was AWESOME! Super friendly and accommodating. While we were waiting for the bus to leave San Pedro, one of the staff members made himself a smoothie and then shared it with us. Not to mention, when we accidentally broke the outlet, they were really nice about it. Definitely recommend this place!

Cool place to stay. They had a lot of different things for us to do within the hostel. Plus, if you like hanging out at bars, it a good place to stay. Other than that, it's pretty far from the center. As for our room, it was ok. It had all the necessities, but it was cold. It was in the back, and it also had an extension cord that was hanging in the middle of the room. in the back house and it felt like they didn't turn on the heat. Gotta say, one of the coldest places that we stayed.
