We didn't properly research this hostel before booking it and so we were very disappointed when we arrived. The chore system doesn't work as guests don't clean adequately. The beds are of a poor quality and the bathrooms are even worse: low pressure, cold showers that attack your body with a razor-like jet. Poor location too. The staff were very helpful, but the whole 'not-for-profit' ethos is certainly to the detriment of the guests' comfort. Book a Motel instead.

Great place to stay, right next to the Streetcar stop. Clean pool and helpful staff.

Hostal La Fuente

Pension Alameda

Seville, Spain

Stella Jadre Apartments

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Fantastic place to stay, and the hostess is very friendly. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs to climb from the Old Town, but they shouldn't really be a problem for most people. We found them a good way to work off all the delicious food in Dubrovnik! A few minor issues - the hot water tank isn't sufficient for two showers in succession, and there was some rubbish left over from the previous occupants. But overall fantastic value for money - you won't be disappointed!

Geneva Residence

Geneva, Switzerland

The room was a little cramped for three people, but made up for itself with the private kitchen facilities, which meant we saved a lot of money buying food from the local supermarket, instead of eating out for every meal. Located right next to the tram station, so the distance isn't really an issue: it took about 15 minutes to reach the centre of Geneva. Highly recommended.
