My wife and I chose this place based on its numerous good reviews. However, we found it to be a little underwhelming. The room was cramped and the breakfast, albeit included, was terrible. Also, our toilet drifted between functional and not functional. The staff are very nice though and the location is quite good. It's really not an awful place, but we probably won't return.

Abercorn House Hostel

This was a good choice for a budget one-night stay. The guy upgraded me to a double-ensuite room for free, so I would say the staff there are really nice. It's a no frills hostel, but perfect for having a decent, central, clean and cost-effective place just to rest your head when in London. I'd probably book with them again.

Morningside Inn

Morningside Inn on the Upper West Side of Manhattan was a great place to stay in my own experience. We arrived a day late but got upgraded when it was discovered there was someone else in the room we were supposed to stay in. It was cramped but clean. Awesome location, close to subways and Broadway's diners, restaurants and jazz bars. We came home to a made bed and fresh towels each day. Good value for money in an expensive city like New York. Would definitely stay there again.

A bit cramped but it is Paris after all. The lady at reception didn't speak English but we managed and she seemed polite and friendly. Free internet was cool. The metro was really close by and the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Couer was within walking distance. Close to many shops and restaurants. With the charms of Montmartre, it was not a bad stay at all.

Gran Central Inn

Barcelona, Spain

A comfortable stay like having your own apartment. French balcony, classically-styled building and the management people speak English - a rarity in Spain. The only snag about this place is that when you get to Barca, you have to call them so someone can meet you there and give you your room key. And if you check in after 10pm, you pay 20 euros extra every 2 hours. Otherwise, private, central and cool street view from balcony. More apartment than hostel.

Way Hostel

We had a very nice room, cool paintings and nice interior. Reception welcomes you nicely even at 3am. A vibrant youth hostel with young travelers just hanging out. Free internet was a plus. 2 mins away from the metro, within walking distance of Sol, would highly recommend for an awesome visit to Madrid!

Hotel International

It was like staying at the Overlook hotel. Creepy and old interiors. A weird stench in the bathroom. Very dingy looking outside and inside. The staff were so disinterested and bland. There\\\'s some club downstairs which was noisy and kept us up. So not worth the price! Quite an unpleasant stay indeed

Royal Guest House 1

Staff was quite helpful and young, Hammersmith is very nice and easily connected to all the central places. Only flaw was that it's not called the Royal Guesthouse 1, look for the Golden Strand
