Hostal El Momento

Granada, Nicaragua

The hostel is in an impressively opulent colonial house, like most of the hostels in Granada. The staff was nice and happy to help, and the other guests were awesome! It is nice that they have a bar right outside the dorms, in the inner courtyard. It also serves as a restaurant, but I would recommend sticking to beer - food is quite bland and the cocktails didn't really impress me.

Thank you for your comments and staying at the hostel. Sorry you did not enjoy the restaurant. In 4 years open it is only the 2nd complaint we have had.As you did not complain at the time we did not have the chance to prepare another item off the menu for you. Food is very subjective and to as you only ate and drank one time and 1 item off the menu it would be unfair to judge the whole menu.

I had a very nice short stay at the hostel. It seemed vey secure and pretty clean, and most of the staff were nice and happy to help with information and tips. The hostel does not have hot water, butthat is the general situation in Honduras and it came as no surprise.

Al Gallo

The hotel is located pretty close to the railway station, which is a plus. However, the rooms and public areas are not clean and the walls are so thin, we could actually hear our neighbour's phones' "low battery" signals. The mattresses are also pretty weird. But since it is more than twice cheaper than any other hostel in the area, I guess we shoud've expected that. It's acceptable value for money and the staff was pretty nice and helpful.

Chambers of the Boheme

Istanbul, Turkey

Best thing about this hostel is the location, literally a 2 minute walk from Istanbul. Staff was very friendly, great value for money. Although very close to Taksim, our room was pretty quiet. Only thing I disliked was the fact that there was no natural light coming into the room.

The Old House

Bansko, Bulgaria

Excellent place to spend a ski holiday and really nice people! The room we stayed in was really big for two people and had its own clean bathroom. Breakfast and dinner (for which you pay separately) are delicious. The area is very quiet, somewhat far away from the "touristy" part of Bansko. The only other thing I could've wished for would be thicker walls:) If you are just below the living room, you can hear people talking upstairs. Planning to return to the Old House!
