The Dictionary, Shoreditch

great location - in the centre of shoreditch! good bar at the bottom. rooms were generally clean apart from the floor which was extremely sticky! needed a mop and when we asked the person at reception to have a look he said yes, but nothing was ever cleaned. the showers were cold in the morning which never helped, and the breakfast was average. However, you get what you pay for i guess.

DO NOT BOOK! BOOKED A DOUBLE ROOM- WE GOT GIVEN A TWIN ROOM...WHEN ASKED IF WE COULD BE MOVED HE SAID HE WOULD CHANGE OUR ROOM THE NEXT DAY. DIRTY TOWELS IN THE SHOWER! THEY SAID WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TO MOVE IN A DOUBLE ROOM ALTHOUGH THAT IS WHAT WE HAD ORIGINALLY PAID FOR! RIDICULOUS!NOT HELPFUL IN ANYWAY POSSIBLE AND RUDE WITH THEIR ABRUPT RESPONSES! HOWEVER WHEN IT CAME TO GETTING SOMETHING 4 THEIR OWN POCKET, THEY WERE VERY FORTHCOMING IN FORCING US TO VISIT PLACES WE DIDNT WANT!

THIS HOSTEL WAS LIKE BEING IN YOUR OWN HOME ABROAD. THE MANAGER IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL IN ARRANGING TOURS, HELPING YOU TO DECIDE WHAT YOU SHOULD GET UP TO IN THE CITY AND IF YOU MAKE A CHANGE TO YOUR ARRANGEMENTS THEY ARE MORE THAN ACCOMMODATING TO HELP YOU OUT. BREAKFAST IS GOOD AND THEY ARE CONSTANTLY OFFERING THEIR SERVICES BUT NOT IN A PUSHY WAY!
