Colonial House Quito

Quito, Ecuador

Really nice looking place, cool garden with bunnies and a lot of space to share activities or enjoy privacy. First hostel I've been in who has a 'gym' :)

I am sorry , I only could spend one night here... the place has a really good vibe

Ekeko Hostel

Lima, Peru

I really enjoyed the time here. It was mostly because of the people I shared the hostel with, but also the staff was really helpful and welcoming. Great atmosphere in generall

Loki Backpackers La Paz

La Paz, Bolivia

Very impressive hostel! The building is really remarcable. But I wouldn't return there for several reasons: the no visitors policy, the fact that the computers are virus-ridden wracks and the way that the staff is treaten.

Great location , good breakfast, staff a litle bit weird, bathrooms not so clean and 2 out of three showers broke down the day I arrived... I suppose it doesn't happen every week

Hostal Laskar

San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

Great atmosphere! The colorful patio with tables, hammocks, grill and fireplace makes people come toghether easily . Water is scarce - sometimes not at all, but that must be because it's a desert... What really bothered me is that the staff member who was sleeping in the same dorm with me (and other people) was speaking and shouting in his sleep. All freakin' night long!

Aji Verde Hostel

La Serena, Chile

The hostel has a good location, I was really well received and provided with information. The staff was friendly and obliging. Mostly. Breakfast included fruits also : )

Tangoinn Soho

Bariloche, Argentina

I only spent one night there, but i really liked the place. It has good spaces for every purpose: lounge, kitchen, back yard garden..., the dorms have their own bathrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful and it is ideal if you have to leave early in the morning from the bus terminal. They just need to upgrade the browsers on the computers

La Comarca Hostel

El Chalten, Argentina

I only spent one night there, but I found the place really welcoming. It might look a bit sketchy from the outside, but inside is nice - that's what matters

Hostel El Ovejero

El Calafate, Argentina

Apparently it is not a hostel! it's a camping . I thought it was both, so I asked for the kitchen - there is none. For the guests, i mean. But the lady at the reception was nice enough to lend me a knife and a plate :) It was ok for the price

Live MVD Hostel

Montevideo, Uruguay

I really loved it here. Very good vibe. The design of the place, the little details, make it very homey and also invite people to linger and to talk to each-other

Impecable Hostel

Montevideo, Uruguay

Everything seemed more than fine when I arrived, the owner was very friendly and offered me the choice to stay in another dorm than I booked, where was more space. During the night I had to notice that the bed was pretty run down , the door didn't close and the locker was a wooden chest that could have been simply taken away. In the morning another surprise : no breakfast! it was canceled a month before, but on the website still appeared in the offer...

El Sol Hostel de Recoleta

Buenos Aires, Argentina

The hostel has a great atmosphere and apparently is very popular among traveling musicians. I was also pleasantly surprised to meet more people in my age group and above . Bathrooms are a little sketchy though- clean, but sort of patch-work. and there are no closets, drawers ... nothing to hang your clothes on (in the dorms - i don't know about privates) so this could be uncomfortable if you are staying more then a couple of days. Unless you Mac Guyver it ;)

Flying Time

Sibiu, Romania

This is the best hostel in Romania by far! I stayed in a well lit room with nice people. There is a inner court yard where you can have drinks and coffe late into the night. Perfect for getting to know each other. Will come back there for sure!
