Very good hostel, especially if you want to be close to everything. Weekly free dinner was good, after a long day i was very happy not to have to cook! Staff were helpful. would recommend to others!

Overall i enjoyed my stay here, the common room is very nice. I wasn't given any information about the hostel when i checked in. I didn't know there was free breakfast, The kitchen only opens certain hours etc... It's a little annoying that you cannot get any breakfast until 8am. And the top blanket is not cleaned after the last person-which i didnt like.

A great hostel thanks to Ross and his volunteer staff. Very friendly and clean with many different options to relax and interact with other guests. The house itself is a little cold even when it's a nice day, so make sure you bring some warm clothes.

I didnt really enjoy my stay here, it's too big and not so friendly. They have no kitchen, no laundry facilities-which makes it annoying. The COMPUTERS were so BAD, 3.50p\h and SOOOOO SLOW with no other internet options close by. The breakfast was terrible, always no plates, no cutlery, no cups so you have to wait. Warm Milk, stale bread, dishwater coffee, warm juice!!! the bathrooms were disgusting &only 2showers per floor between maybe 50people. they were not cleaned while i was there 4days!

Wombats City Hostel Berlin

More like a hotel atmosphere than a hostel, but that is because of the amount of rooms and floors. If you're a solo traveller you might find it a little hard to meet people as the layout is not as condusive as most to socialising. It has everything you need, kitchen, computers, washing machines, roof top and top floor bar. And not so expensive. Breakfast is quite good and one of the better ones!

Youth Hostel Meetingpoint

Most staff were friendly. This is not a hostel, it's a shabby dorm room with a pub down stairs and that's it. Not good for meeting people or regular hostel activities. If you want a cheapish! place in amsterdam and very central and dont mind it being dirty then i guess it's ok.

Overall a good stay, staff are all nice! Great common area's to socialise and facilities also. My only complaint was that you have to stand to use the computers, after walking around all day the last thing you want to do is stand up to write an email. oh and warm milk on your cereal! Not really hard guys!

A very nice backpackers resort. Like everyone comments, it's very hot to sleep with only a tiny fan. There is NO KITCHEN, they advertise one which is why i took lots of food with me but there is a bench. The front office staff were horrible! When i mentioned about the kitchen they had a go at me about a lot of random stuff. The rest of the staff were great! Enjoyed the bar and food was good!

I had a really nice stay here, All the staff were lovely and Andy was a nice host. I really enjoyed the hostels OWN pub crawls and you went to new places almost every day. The room i stayed in was lovely and quite and big. The only thing is the showers really need some maintenance as the drainage is terrible and you have to hold the shower head cause it's broken, oh and not very clean.

Retox Party Hostel

Budapest, Hungary

I booked this hostel for 7 nights but i could only stay for 1 night. There is a difference between 'laid' back and 'lazy'. The hosel is meant to be a little 'grunge' but its really DIRTY! the showers were always soaked with water, and very poorly built, along with the toilets. Even in the morning before 12 they were still dirty and the sinks blocked with water and hair. They have no check out time so when i arrived at 5pm my bed was not ready until 7 that night!

It has been a great place to stay. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and very airey common space. If your a prince or a princess you may find there only being 1bathroom and 1shower for each sex a little much but honestly i have never seen any one wait and ive been here for a week. The staff are really great and very helpfull, they speak good english but you must speak slowly. I have enjoyed it so much that i am going to stay here for a month and use it as a base to explore the other islands! ;)

A great hostel to stay, ofcourse the onsen is amazing but also the comfort of this hostel, Great and diverse common areas, great info on Beppu (especially the onsens) to help you enjoy your stay, It is very relaxing and has inherited some character from it once being a Ryokan. Of my all time favourites! Oh and warm friendly staff are only happy to help you!

The host family were very friendly, helpful and informative. This is a nice place to relax in peace and quite. The location is a little out of the way of main attractions but it adds to the charm. The bed was the most comfortable i`ve had in Japan so far! The only thing for me was it was a little cold outside of the living area, ie taking a shower!

This was a nice place to stay, a very large common room with couches, internet, kitchen and eating all open plan which makes for a very social experience. Staff were good and most spoke good english. The beds were the most comfortable so far in japan-out of 4hostels! Which is very inportant to me given how thin the mattress had been at the other hostels, hence i would stay here again.

A very nice place with the most FRIENDLY staff. It is a fantastic location and very SAFE and SECURE. It is also very clean. The Khaosan bar was great and will be heading back When i return to Tokyo! They also have great drip coffee ALL day, which if you are a coffee drinker like me it will save you a fortune on the expensive coffee here in Japan! They offer great information for everything you can do in Tokyo including transport and costs. They offer free origami classes too!

City Hostel Seattle

Hostel was more like a hotel atmosphere, perhaps because of it's size and it's occupancy at the time. Not so easy to socialize but good facilities are available. Breakfast was average options. They also dont have covers for the quilts/comforters and dont change them after each person, which would prevent me from staying here again-especially for the price they charge- would try the green tortoise next time.
