This hostel is located NOT in the center of Gdansk, but in a quiet peaceful neighbourhood, 15 minutes away from the center by bus. However, I found this place exceptional! The staff/owners are amazing, they're doing great job! The hostel is well equipped with anything you may need. It's clean, cozy and relaxed. Not a party place, but great atmosphere, I felt like at home! I can definitely recommend it and will stay here again if come back to Gdansk one day.

Great location in the heart of the Old Town, pretty walkable to everything in La Candelaria. Staff is friendly, wifi is good, common areas are spacious. On the downside, there are HUGE troubles with hot water (no chance to have a hot shower in the morning). Don't have a breakfast here (8K COP), better go outside and have a better deal in one of the cafes. Generally a decent place to stay.

Playa del Ritmo

Santa Marta, Colombia
77%

Colombia is NOT a beach destination, so you might be disappointed by quality of the beach and the sea. But here it is way better than in Santa Marta, Taganga or Cartagena. Anyway, it is a good place to chill. Nothing is going on here, so if you need a day or two of solitude at the beach - this is your choice. All the facilities are pretty basic and need renovation, but it adds to the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Bar is just okay, the music they play is awful.

Pros: good location, great kitchen area, superfast wifi. Cons: REALLY TINY toilet, uncomfortable beds, the whole place needs some renovation to provide a feeling of comfort. Don't expect special atmoshpere here: it's pretty quiet in here and the place is much more sleeping-oriented than a place to socialize. Finland is not a cheap country, but I wish I spent my 30 euros on a bed in a better place. However, it's OK to stay here for a night.

It's a chain hotel/hostel which provides good value for money. All the facilities are top class! The only con is location: though it's really convenient to get to/from the airport, there's absolutely nothing of any interest in this area. Not even a supermarket around. Since it's a chain hotel-like hostel, don't expect any special backpacker's atmosphere here. However, it's a good place to stay.

Much better than its Argentinian sister hostel. The staff does excellent job, making the guests feel at home. Seriously, the staff is outstanding here. Facilities are OK: enough showers/toilets not to queue, acceptable wifi signal strength, plenty of power outlets. A small hostel not far from the bus station. It's not just a party place. It's a place for party animals! Full of Aussies and Americans. Noise 24/7. Hell drunk bodies all around. Basically hostel in a bar and not vice versa. Bar staff is nice, some of reception staff is kind of indifferent. The place is on a steep hill, so be prepared to climb every time you go out. There are not so much public space outside the bar. Despite having booked several weeks in advance, on my arrival I was moved to a sister hostel named Barbados located in the same building. This place wasn't comfortable at all. Staff has different attitude to their job: ladies who checked me in were nice and helpful, guys were somewhat rude. The door to the toilet/shower in my room had no lock. Kithen (= common area) is tiny and I was sent away with my beer because they say beer is banned inside (in a hostel!!). Will never come back.

Thanks a lot for the good comments about Black Cat , but sorry for the overpriced transfer and tours, the agency is not from the black cat , it is another agency which name is Altiplano`s, we just help to our guests to feel comfortable finding a transfer in the same place in which they`re staying but the purchase is optional, your comments about the transfer could be with the agency , but not include them in the Black Cat review because the owners are different. I stayed just for 1 night there, so not much to say. Location is good, the bed was pretty comfy, the guy who checked me in at night wasn't friendly, perhaps 'cause I woke him up. There's a 24/7 supermarket next door which is very useful.

Well lets see....You stated you were arriving at 11pm...instead you turned up at 2 am: drunk,. Against my better judgement I checked you in anyway but you then proceeded to leave again to go drinking. You then returned at 5am, ringing the doorbell incessantly because you had rendered yourself incapable of using the electronic door lock to let yourself in.

Fairly good hostel, but too big to feel the real beckpackers' spirit. The staff's helpful. Local eateries available nearby as well as a night shop withsome cheap beer, the hostel's bar is a bit pricey. Location is pretty average, but the neighbourhood is nice and calm.

Fairly good small hostel. Can't say I could feel the backpackers vibe, but the place has everything you really need. Don't expect hard partying here, they have some weird rules: no drinks in the common room, no hard liquor in the whole hostel.

Nice hostel with friendly staff. Located in the heart of the Old Town and rather close to the train station. The rooms are spacious, there's a large common room and a decent kitchen. No wi-fi in dorms. But I couldn't feel the real backpackers' spirit there.

Fairly good hostel with very nice staff. Located a bit far from the Old Town, but rather close to the train station. Great big lockers, the rooms are spacious and well decorated, but the beds are squeaky. No wi-fi signal in the room. No general common room = no special backpackers' vibe. However, was great to stay for one night.

Fantastic hostel! Located in the heart of the Old Town, this is a great place to enjoy Riga. It's very clean, the rooms are spacious, the beds are cozy, many showers and toilets. Two great common rooms to socialize, kitchen and a small bar make meeting people so easy! Amazingly friendly and helpfull staff who organize daily activities made me feel at home. Very important thing is that the rooms are isolated from the common areas and you will not be disturbed even if you go down to sleep early.

Big hotel-like hostel, but a good one. Great alternative site around! However, few cons: not enough plugs both in rooms and common area. No wi-fi in rooms. Very small room (a 5-bed dorm). Bar is a bit overpriced for a hostel. Still, it's a cool place and I can recommend it.

Yet another hotel-like commercialized big hostel. But this one has some really great things like free sauna and swimming pool, the roof-top terrace is also great. Don't expect much fun in low season here. Wireless doesn't always work in rooms. Staff is friendly. Anyway, I'd call this place a hotel with dorms, not a hostel.

This is a really special place! Located in the heart of the city, it has easy access to whatever you need. Staff is great! Rooftop terrace and the garden make this place amaging. Spacious common areas, a bar - what else you need to socialize? Fantastic hostel in a fantastic city. By far the best I stayed in while in Spain! Muchos gracias!

Generally a good new hostel. Location is great, but guys, you should rewrite the directions in a proper way! What you offer is really hard to follow. Great rooms, cool kitchen and terrace, but... no vibe. Pub crawl is closed because of low season. Staff is freindly, but not pro-active. Internet signal is weak in the room. So lots of things to improve, but again, generally it's a good place and I have positive memories. Thanks guys!

If you're looking for a real backpackers' hostel, look for another place to stay. This one is just yet another big hotel with dorms. However, it's very clean and has all necessary services. Location is good (but not perfect). Staff is helpful, but sometimes reception is overcrowded and the staff just can't help everyone prompty. Security is good, but in my 8-bed dorm there were only 2 lockers! The place was packed with locals, but no problem with that. Generally this hostel is OK to stay.

The Naughty Squirrel definitely deserves 100 points!! Extremely clean, good number of showers. Cozy beds and big lockers, very secure. Location is perfect. But their main advantage is the staff! Thanks to Jarred, Robert, Karina, Solveiga, Ieva and other guys staying in a hostel becomes staying at good friends'! Besides that, the atmosphere is perfect for meeting fellow travellers. Hope to come back one day! Thanks a lot! P.S. I loved the ambiguous name of the hostel! ;)

After I made a booking, they phoned me and told there was a mistake/overbooking and they have no free beds for my days. They suggested that I come to their place, they return me the deposit and show directions to another hostel. I agreed, but finally my flight to Rome was cancelled and I didn't get there at all. So, overbooking is a bit disappointing, but on the other hand, they informed me in advance and offerd any assistance I needed.
