Great location in old town near Edinburgh Castle and restaurants/cafes. It's about a 15 min walk (with luggage) from the Waverley train station. Reasonably clean but shared bathroom near dining room is tiny ladies. The beds are so squeaky that loss of sleep is a real problem and no control over loud people from the hostel making noise all night just outside the dorms. One night I couldn't sleep at all because of this outside my window = not happy Jan! Staff replaced a busted bulb pretty quickly.

Great location near castle and shops and not too far from train and bus stations. The hostel is run by the owners who have been really helpful and informative. This is a small hostel so it seems cosy and the wifi was awesome. Really clean and modern facilities.

Great location about 10-15 min walk to three tube stations and supermarket. Five minute walk to restaurants. Had considerate dorm mates this time (2nd stay here in the week) so much happier. Reasonably clean but needs to update dining tables ASAP - bit tired and depressing.. And sticky. Really close to Natural History Museum and V&A. Need to get better pillows that provide support to head. Staff really helpful and friendly.

Very friendly atmosphere among guests and staff and comfortable. Quite close to the station which is good. Kitchen dining and lounge feel homey.and the garden beautiful. Needs an 'engaged' sign for toilets and shower. The place was cleaned every morning from 11 am which is also very good. All in all a good stay. Wifi was excellent!

Good location but had a mattress and pillow that were not comfortable and inconsiderate dorm mates who would drunkenly stumble in at stupid o clock each night and then a couple of hours later their alarm goes off ... very sleep deprived after that. But close to three tube stations and walking distance to shops and Natural History and V & A Museum. Big kitchen facility and laundry.

Wifi doesn't work very well in the dorms this is important if people are doing banking or sky ping family. Smokers outside the dorm was not pleasant but apart from that I would recommend this place to my friends etc.

Wifi pass didn't last the whole stay which was a bit inconvenient and the whole thing with the fire scare at 3.30 am was not good. The thing that worries me is that the guests were evacuating but that leads us to the bar and the kitchen area which was the source of the smoke.. We were told to go back and next morning when asked they said someone tripped the alarm by mistake which still doesn't explain the smoke... apart from that the beds were comfy with plugs and very clean. Great kitchen too.

Firstly, excellent location! I stayed on the second floor which had been renovated and I loved my room as bed was fairly new , clean and comfy and i had my own sink. Just need to have soap dispensers for the shared sinks. The kitchen was not good at all but I know this is a work in progress. In terms of disruption not really noisy - just remember not to place trip hazards in front of leased dorms. Atmosphere was subdued for the most part but that was a plus for sleeping and napping.

Atmosphere is not subdued, it largely depends on the crowd that happens to stay in the hostel. Some nights are better than others of course, we've had some awesome nights this summer! New kitchen is being built. Thanks for your comment, do come back one day!

Need to provide free lockers and clean the bathrooms frequently and thoroughly if you expect many dorms to share them. Could be even better with private bathrooms to a dorm. Wifi shouldn't block Facebook.

Clean and comfortable with an Aldi round the corner, and the main shopping strip not far. Really far to walk from the train station but tram stop is very close. Not much atmosphere here at all and the communal kitchen could do with new dish rags and more utensils. Te palace is a short walk away.

Really helpful staff and clean bathrooms. The dorm beds were laid out really nicely to afford some privacy. The kitchen facility could use some instructions and more utensils for cooking such as chopping boards. Location near the train station was good, however is a fair walk to old town. There are trams nearby though - but would be useful to have a notice board telling you which ones you need to go on. Not really a hostel atmosphere here more for groups.

Great location near the clock tower, shops, restaurants and Krramgasse which leads to the bears, old town and the Rose Garden. About 15-20 min walk from the train station but tram stop is right on the other side of the building. The kitchen and laundry were good but they need to invest in new shower heads as they are wonky. But clean, comfortable place with an ok atmosphere as I met some cool people here.

Really clean hostel - no shoes in the common areas and dorms and the best showers and toilets I've seen. Communal kitchen was well equipped and utilised as well. Great location as trips to Jungfraujoch begin at the town's train station which is a few minutes walk, same for the bus stop to Trimmelbach falls. It's a little village so everything is in walking distance. Oh and they gave me chocolate when I checked out which is a nice surprise. The only downside is that no lockers are provided.

Really good location near the central train station, supermarkets and 5-10 min walk from Karlsplatz which connects to Marienplatz. Clean and cosy beds and helpful staff. I liked how the girl's dorms have a private bathroom with soap dispenser and hair dryer. Atmosphere was good. The only thing is the need for air conditioning as you can't open the windows when people are smoking outside near the entrance plus they are very noisy.

Really good location near the u bahn station and near shops and restaurants. Alexanderplatz is 15 min walk from the hostel. The place was reasonably clean. The main thing is the atmosphere is really friendly here. Just note that there is no air conditioning and it is quite noisy at night (traffic, sirens and people up all night on the street) so that could be an issue if you just want some sleep. Most of the washers and dryers were out of service. Security is really good with good lockers.

Great location near the train station and near the shops etc. Short walk to red light district. The captain/owner gave us really good advice on cheap eats, directions and sightseeing stuff. The boat is small but comfortable and reasonably clean. I had no worries about safety at all.

Really great location near shops, parks and the metro. Great music is played in the lounge/bar and the room was comfortable and clean. It has a good vibe and 24 hour reception.

This place is very reasonably priced (for Venice) and in a great location in Venice - a short walk from Santa Lucia Train Station. I had a shared bathroom which was clean and the room was clean as well.

Good location - short walk from the train station. It was reasonably clean but my brother said the guys showers were not clean. Bunk beds were really low so you couldn\'t sit comfortably underneath. Good lockers though! The lounge\'s tv didn\'t work and one washing machine didn\'t work. This place has character though - check out the laundry for a laugh!

This is a really fun hostel - if you are looking for stories to tell this is the place to go! The hostel is in a really good location near Westbahnhof Train Station and is also a few kms from all the main sites in Vienna. There are good value eats and internet cafes around the main strip but the internet cafe provided at the hostel is good. However, they really need a better lift, one that tells you which floor it is at. I\'ve had a good time at this place meeting really cool people.

Really clean hostel with really helpful and nice staff. Would definitely come back again. It is also close to Checkpoint Charlie and a train station nearby takes you to East Side Gallery.
