The location is the best aspect of the hostel. It's located about 5 mins walk from the main square/high street and the marina where all the main bars and restaurants are. In terms of the hostel itself, the facilities are in good condition, and the rooms are fairly clean. Not much in the way of atmosphere but it seemed safe and the staff were friendly. Only down point of the hostel was the constant noise of the nearby clubs and the smell of the chip shops that gets into the dorms.
Friendly staff, and very helpful in terms of booking tours etc. The Hostel is fairly hard to find initially due to it's location within the medina but once you get used to finding it's actually in a very safe location. The most amazing aspect of the hostel is the open air design (as with a lot of riads in Morocco) and the roof terraces. The terrace is a great way to meet other travellers or just smoke a shisha and drink some tea.
Convieniently located near one of the main bus stations in Amman. It is inbetween the quietier western districts and the hustle bustle os downtown Amman which makes Caravan a great place to stay. The rooms and the hotel in general has a faded decor but are clean. The staff are also helpul and friendly. Caravan also provides good services for guests that want to make trips to places around Jordan.
