Harmony Hostel is a great hostel to stay in. It's always fun at the roof terrace, the staff is friendly and funny, the apple tea tastes delicious, and the hostel is close to all major sights in the old town.
'Indah' is Indonesian for 'beautiful'. Although I wouldn't call the homestay beautiful, it's a nice place to stay, even though it's a bit remote and away from the main road. The family is friendly, the garden looks ok, but the room is very basic, with an even more basic bathroom (squat toilet and a kind of shower). Breakfast is simple, but tasty.
It's a nice hostel perfectly located between Kuta and Legian, so you can go to both easily, while staying away from the noisy party scene at night. The beds are very nice, the bathroom is ok, and the breakfast is tasty. They even offer fruit!
This hostel might be the best you can get in Singapore for such a good price! The lobby is nice, the breakfast has more than usual, the rooms and beds are fine, and the showers are clean. And because it's located in between two MRT stations with different lines, it's easy to get around the city.
Although I definitely have no complaints about the dorm (the beds are ok, just like the bathroom), it's the overal appeal that lacks. The staff isn't particularly friendly, while the location is pretty remote. Also please don't book any diving trip with them. Although the dives in the area are amazing, the organization at the center is bad, and the divemasters don't care anything about safety measurements and a decent (de)briefing of dives.
A good hostel with nice rooms and a big common area to relax in. The staff is very helpful in giving you information about the city or booking a tour for you. The hostel is easy to find and has a central location, making most sites, like the Night Market, easy to reach.
This guesthouse has a very nice atmosphere, a cozy common room, and some dorms with good beds. It's one of the few guesthouses where you will see some plants standing at several places. Mrs Lee is extremely friendly and is very helpful in booking transport or trips to Niah or Lambir Hills National Park, or even to Bandar Seri Begawan in Brunei.
This nice guesthouse has several good rooms with definitely the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in during my travels. The staff is very friendly and the free breakfast (even instant noodles in addition to the basic toast) is tasty. And there is a hot shower, which is quite welcome after some days in Bako NP or Iban longhouses!
A pretty good hostel in the heart of Georgetown. Nice hot shower, clean beds and fine rooms. The staff is willing to help you or arrange a taxi, or even mail your postcard!
This hostel is spread over two buildings, with the small dorm (4 people) in its own building. The living room, however, is big and cozy, with some books and a tv. There's even a kitchen in case you feel like preparing something. The location is good, with all sights and eateries within walking distance.
There aren't many options available in Jerantut, so it's ok to stay here for one night. But don't expect too much. The rooms are very simple with a bed with a very thin mattress. All bathrooms seem to have problems, whether it's a door that cannot be closed, a broken shower, or a mess on the floor. And well, there's not much more to tell, because there's nothing else in the hotel. They got wifi in the lobby, though.
This is a nice guesthouse with a beautiful river view, located in Chinatown, making it a perfect base to find good food and do some interesting sightseeing, because everything is within walking distance. The owner is a friendly guy and the guesthouse looks ok, although the plaster is literally falling off the wall in some rooms. But that shouldn't keep you away from this nice place!
It's a great hostel (good value for money) right in the heart of the modern city centre of KL. The rooms are nice and clean, the bathroom is good, the breakfast is simple but tasty, and the staff is friendly. And you'll definitely meet some other travellers to hang out with.
It was quite a surprise to find such a big hostel, but it looks beautiful and has good dorms with private bathrooms. The free breakfast on the rooftop is ok, and the lounge is a great place to watch tv or hang out with other guests. The tours that are offered are a bit too expensive (and require at least 2 people), so it's better to check out some travel agencies instead. But overall I enjoyed the hostel a lot, and I don't think there's another place where you get more bang for your buck.
I was surprised about the enormous luxury of the room, which was well worth its price. A private bath+shower, bed, tv, desk, hair dryer... even an emergency pack! Included breakfast is also good. Don't worry about places to go to, as the owner will mark every small detail on your map when you arrive! A great place to stay when visiting the easy to reach Seoraksan National Park!
After dozens of hostels, I thought I've already seen the best of the best, but Come Inn Guesthouse exceeded all. It is located in a lively university area and has nice rooms. You can make use of the kitchen, and do your laundry for free. The small living room is cozy, but it's the staff that makes this place a gem, whether you are staying for a day or a week. Justin is such a friendly guy, and seems to take care more of his guests than himself. Always interested and helpful. And dog Jelly is fun
The hostel is located inside a beautiful classic building and has nice rooms, a lounge, and a convenient kitchen. The family that runs the guesthouse is wonderful; they are such friendly people! I will never forget how they compared me to John Denver, an American country singer, based on (eeeeh...) similarity!
The hostel has an amazing view over the beach area, and is decorated very nicely! Although it might be a bit hard to find and the shower room could use an improvement, the owner is a great guy and you'll definitely meet other friendely travelers as well! And of course plenty of eggs for breakfast!
Although a little bit away from the center, it's still a nice hostel with good facilities and friendly staff.
Great hostel with friendly staff and a spacious dorm. And a simple, but free breakfast!
Great hostel with friendly staff, and a very relaxing onsen! No regular shower rooms, though.
A good hostel with friendly staff and all facilities you'll need. Make sure to try out the origami!
Beautiful classic guesthouse. Bit far away from the station, but with a very friendly owner with a big manga collection.
A fine hostel with all facilities you'll need as a traveler, including some fun extra activities!
Although a bit far away from the JR Station, it's a good hostel in a beautiful classic building with friendly staff.
Great Western-style hostel with all facilities you'll need.
The best place I've stayed so far. The ryokan is amazingly beautiful, with wonderful rooms, a classic Japanese garden, a hot hot bath (onsen), the owner is friendly, many free facilities (tv, internet, tea, onsen; there's even a flashlight on the key!). Definitely worth it.
Good hostel with big private beds; location is ok; nice public lounge.
The capsules are OK, and the location is good, as it is near the metro and train station. Good for one or two nights, but look elsewhere if you stay longer in Tokyo and prefer more and better facilities (i.e. bathroom, wifi, lounge).
Friendly staff and great rooms with good beds. Tasty breakfast (with lots of jams) and useful travel info. Location is a bit odd, though.
The rooms are good and the food is OK. The location is somewhere between uptown, downtown, and Ayala Center, so if you don't like walking, you'll need to take a jeepney.
Not too far from White Beach, and a great place to meet other travellers!
Good hostel, helpful staff, clean; too bad there's no breakfast; quiet environment, because it's a bit outside the center.
Hostel looked very good; fine location; helpful staff.
I don't think you'll get better value for money in New York City.

It\'s a little basic, but it\'s a nice hostel and all you need when looking for a cheap place in KL.
A really nice hostel: friendly staff, centrally located between all the expensive hotels (close to the beach, shopping mall and nightlife area), and a nice common room with DVDs.
700 Baht during Full Moon is ridiculous, but even the regular costs are way too much for what you get in return.
A nice place to stay.
If you want to avoid the crowd in Khao San Rd, this hostel is a great place with wonderful staff on a good location: close to Skytrain, metro and ferry.
Met some spicy people here and had a spicy time overall! Don\'t forget to say hello to SpicyKitten and SpicyPuppy!
The location is just a little bit off, but the building has a lot of atmosphere!
Great hostel with wonderful staff!
A really good place to stay.
Met some great people while staying in the nice dorm!
I enjoyed my stay in this hostel with nice dorms, wonderful staff and good food. (Oh, and who could resist the free beers?)
I had a lot of fun during my stay in this hostel! Great atmosphere! And be sure to book their amazing trips to Sapa and Halong Bay!
Chunking Mansions is a complete mess, but Oriental Pearl seems to be one of the better hostels in this building.
