About a half hour subway from downtown which is fine. Awesome pub across the road from the hostel, highly recommended. The patio area is really spacious and cool. Overall good hostel considering it's New York.

I've stayed in alot of Hostels and this is one of the best. Kitchen and Patio area is great. Very easy to meet new people. Only fault would be that no individual light for each bunk bed.

A pity more Hostels aren't like this, then again if they were travelling would be boring. The minute you arrive you are welcomed and shown around the Hostel. Amazing common area with Cans of Beer only 1 Euro during happy hour. Lots of daily activities organised and pub crawl organised.

Is this a good hostel for cheap stay in Helsinki yes. However for person backpacking no. The Hostel is more catered for long term stay such as students. Common area is too big and majority of people are on the Internet. Facilities however are good as you have a Kitchen for cooking. Not a Hostel I would recommend for meeting new people.

The reason why I stayed in this hostel was because of the location for Oktoberfest. Would I stay here again if I was backpacking and not attending Oktoberfest no I would not. The member of staff checking me was very unfriendly and unhelpful. However the next member of staff I encountered at reception was friendly and helpful. I believe the hostel has little character. Although there is a bar in the hostel so maybe the bar would be a good place to meet fellow travellers.

The walk up the steep hill is worth it for the spectacular view of the city from the patio area of the hostel. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Security lockers are provided. A barbecue is provided on Sunday night free of charge.

I have stayed in numerous hostels around Europe. This is the best I have come across. The minute you arrive you treated as family. Unfortunately I didn't have time to do the day tour. Every traveller I meet in the hostel recommended it. Great place to meet other travellers if your a solo traveller.

Very well run and clean hostel. Location is less than a 10 minute walk from the main harbour. Nice bar and patio available for guests. A good place to meet other travellers. Popular for tourists staying for a week or more in Hvar.

The world rowing champions was on the same time I was staying in Bled. I stayed in a hotel down the road in the hostel. I had to catch a train early the next morning. I staff member offered to give me a lift. The morning he didn't not show up! Luckily I had a number of local taxi firm and got to my train with a minute spare!

This hostel is in a excellent location. Staff are helpful. I checked out of the hostel before 8am. Unfortunately the front door is locked at this time and requires a key. I have left this in reception! Luckily a shop opens at 8am on the ground floor and I was able to exit then. Just made by bus!!

This Hostel is one of the top rated Hostels. The facilities are excellent. However the staff is not that friendly and to meet other travellers is difficult. The Hostel is a big space as there is a Cafe and Bar as well. Highly recommend visiting the area behind the hostel. A couple of very unusual bars!!!!

A Venice Fish

The common area is amazing. Huge open area overlooking a street. The free dinner provided every night is excellent. After the dinner one of the staff bring you to a bar beside the water. This is great as night life in Venice is limited. Bed linen is extra which I found frustrating as the hostel expects you to provide your own linen.

This hostel is in a great location. It maybe be small and only two bathrooms but considering the price more than adequate. A free dinner is provided every night. This is a great opportunity to meet other travellers especially if you are a sole traveller.
