Great staff and chill out area - so nice to be able to watch movies in the evening. Location can't be beat. I would suggest wall mounts for the showers as it would make using much better. Kitchen is well stocked and breakfast is tasty (though basic).

Berat Backpackers Hostel

I caught the hostel right as they were closing for the season and that definitely impacted my stay - no wifi, place was generally in disarray, REALLY cold at night. The double room is nice but the mattresses are little more than foam pads. Found the owner to be quite pushy when asking to go for a drink. Probably a nice place in the summer, but avoid in the spring and fall.

Great hostel - definitely the place to stay if you want a social atmosphere. Lots of cooking spaces and free dinner every night (wish there was a veg option though). Only thing I would say could be improved is the smell in the 7 bed dorm - the bathrooms were clean but smelled VERY strongly of mildew. Would be a perfect hostel if that was fixed!

The staff here rock! Such a chill hostel to spend a few days in and centrally located. Breakfast is egg, toast, jam, and tomato - pretty standard and tasty. It's really nice having curtains around the bed - gives you a sense of privacy. Showers are great. Would stay here again for sure.

The front desk staff here are great - super helpful when trying to sort out anything. It is awkward if you opt out of breakfast.. The kitchen is pretty much shut to guests at that time so don't plan on using much of anything in the morning. I would recommend a larger fridge, too. Other than that, great place to stay. Would stay again for sure.

The dude who runs the hotel is awesome - gave me a lift a few times and was always willing to hang out and have a chat. The hotel is close to the beach and a 2 minute walk away from a super tasty 24 hr bakery and a small grocery - and there's a cheaper and better stocked Carrefour about 20 minutes away, walking towards Thira. The bathroom could do with a shower curtain - whenever anyone had a shower, the floor turned into a lake and every surface was wet. Would definitely stay here again!

Because I booked a room in off-season, I spent one night at the Argo and one at another property - both were great. I had a double room all to myself both times, everything was immaculately clean, and the shower at the argo worked well. Both hotels are about 5 minutes from Faliraki beach, and very close to the bus stop to head into Rhodes City. The staff are wonderful and make you really feel at home. Breakfast is good too! I would stay here again.

Staff are top notch here. Breakfast is awesome. Soho Hostel Istanbul

The location can't be beat - right in the heart of istiklal and easily reached from public transport. The kitchen is little more than a sink and hot plate. The common area is quite small, too, as are the rooms (triple bunks). No lockers. There is often a lineup for the toilets and showers and the hot water ran out on me one morning. Certainly not the worst hostel in Istanbul, but I would try somewhere else before booking here again.

Nice hostel in the heart of Sibiu - would stay here again. It would be awesome if they purchased some more stuff for the kitchen, though.. the cutlery situation is pretty dire. Staff are great and super helpful. It should be noted that there was construction going on RIGHT next door (maybe in the same building??) and we were woken up at 5:30 or 6AM to the sounds of incessant pounding. That should have been mentioned beforehand somewhere in the description.

Most of the comments about this hostel complain about distance away from the city center, which is pretty laughable. 10-15 minute walk from the heart of town is NOTHING in a larger city, and the hostel is worth it. Really clean with wifi everywhere, a good kitchen, breakfast, and a hang out room. I would definitely stay here again. They only thing I would change about Nomad's is to use an age limit for guests (18-35, pretty standard for a lot of hostels). Oh, and the staff are pretty smokin'. :)

Breakfast is standard hostel fare. The rooms are very small and the bunk beds are triple bunks - first time I've ever seen that! The one thing that REALLY needs improvement are the showers - none of the shower heads work correctly and you'd better not be shy because there's hardy any privacy. Still, good for a London hostel.

Stayed for a few nights, seems like the hostel is better suited to long-termers (there sure are a lot of them at the hostel!). Definite pros: The kitchen is excellent, as is the free pubcrawl, and there are lockers in every room. I am surprised that this is not one of the highest rated hostels in Paris! For how expensive hosteling is in the city, this was relatively cheap and was really good quality. A cool place to stay in the heart of Galway. Hot showers and a decent breakfast.
