Nomads Hostel Iguazu

Puerto Iguazu, Argentina

Really good hostel to chill out in Puerto Iguazu. All the people working there were very friendly and with lots of information to provide about Iguazu and the surroundings. The hostel has nice facilities, a pool and the air con works pretty good which is really important in hot and humid Puerto Iguazu. Good service at the breakfast as well. Only downside, don´t expect a party atmosphere, there is not much of a common area to get things going. Also the rooms could have been a bit bigger.

Great hostel in Lagoa Conceicao. Very good location, walking distance from the lively bars and restaurants of the Lagoa. Really nice facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. They organise excursions or recommend nights out for every day of the week. Had a great time at this place.

Solar Chacara Hostel

A nice hostel in Rio if you are looking for something different than the usual Ipanema and Copacabana. The location is not ideal for travelling in the rest of the city, it is a bit further out than other hostels. However the view from the hostel balcony is amazing and there is a beautiful little beach just under the hostel which is really worth going to! The staff were all very friendly. Could have been a bit cleaner. Also wifi did not work in my room.

Sabatico Travelers Hostel

Buenos Aires, Argentina

One of the best hostels I have stayed so far. Went for 3-4 days and ended up staying more than 2 weeks. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the hostel has a very familiar and homey feeling. Don´t expect a party place, but there are still events happening almost every night. Facilities are very good and it is very spacious. Clean and the location is walking distance from San Telmo or Avenida de Mayo. Definitely recommended!

One of the best hostels! Clean, great location and really warm and cosy environment. The best thing about the hostel is the people working there. Clara is great!! Generally the most friendly of staff. They are really happy to help you with everything you might need and it is so easy to join up with other people at the hostel for the different treks and excursions. Highly recommended!

Really great hostel, definitely recommended if in Sucre. Very clean, great location, good facilities and very friendly staff. Darrah the owner is a really cool guy and has done a great job with the place. Only downside is that it appeared to be generally tranquil. Good to meet travelers and chat to people but not much going on at the hostel during the day or night.

Black Sheep Hostel Medellin

HAs a really good time at th Black Sheep. Location is quite good, but not great as the other hostels if you want to go out in Poblado every night. It is walkable distance but not right in Lleras. I was a bit dissappointed with the cleanlines but I think I was mainly unlucky with my roomates. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful

One of the best hostels I have stayed at. Really clean, modern and great facilities. Staff was really helpful and it was nice to have some basic breakfast included. There are some good party nights at the hostel's bar. It is quite busy on the live music nights with travellers but also many locals. I would definitely return if back in Bogota.

SamS VIP Hostel San Gil

San Gil, Colombia

For me this has been one of the best hostels I have stayed at in Colombia. Really clean and at a great location on the main square. The hostel has really nice facilities, big kitchen and a pool. Atmosphere is pretty chilled but I think that's best for San Gil where you ll be involved in lots of outdoor activities during the day. All bars and restaurants are anyway very close to the hostel. And try the steak at Sam´s! Quite cheap and really good

The Meeting Point Hostel

A true family run hostel! Gianni and his family were very welcoming and you genuinly feel at home. Some mediterranean hospitality an the other side of the world! They were very helpful with information about the city. I also followed Gianni's advice, changing my travel plans and heading to Santander after Barranquilla. Proved to be a really good decision! The hostel is close to a supermarket and restaurants, but generally you will need a taxi to get around Barranquilla.

Great hostel in the old town of Cartagena. walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants and all the old city attractions. The hostel owner is really enthusiastic and helpful. The hostel is pretty quiet so don't expect any parties or lively atmosphere.

Good hostel at a good location walking distance from the beach and bars and clubs. The atmosphere was not great when I was there but it could be that it was a quiet weekend. Overall good value hostel at a good location.

Casa Gracia Barcelona Hostel

Great hostel in a really nice building in an excellent area of Barcelona! lots of restaurants and bars around, outside the touristic centre but walkable distance to plaza catalunya. Not very cheap but generraly worth its money. Only downside is that security is not great. It is so big and with so many guests that anyone can walk in and half the lockers were broken in the two rooms I have stayed in. Door security of the rooms is quite good though.

Very good hostel overall, really friendly and helpful staff and excellent location in the very centre of the old town within very short walking distance of lots of bars and restaurants. Not much going on in the hostel itself but maybe was due to going off season. Other than that all great! Highly recommended!

Great riad and at a perfect location! The riad was small, cosy and beautiful and very clean. The dorm was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in. The riad had all the facilities/services you might need, mint tea served all day and a wonderful terrace to sit and relax at night! The staff was very helpful, friendly and polite. All three of the guys there were great! Thanks Abdoun for the hospitality!

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at! The location was perfect right in the centre of Riga old town. The facilities were great and cleaned throughout the day. There were several activities and the staff was really welcoming and fun and always willing to help.

Hostel Blues

Bratislava, Slovakia

My experience at the hostel was very good. The hostel is located in the very centre, very close to the old town, a supermarket, bars and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful and there was generally a good and energetic vibe around the hostel. If you are looking for a hostel in Bratislava then this is your place. Only slight downside is that it is not very cheap. It is cheap in general, but you could get 4* hotel in Bratislava for very cheap, so not great value for money in that sense

Hostal Residencial Rober

Madrid, Spain

Only stayed here for one night but the experience was good. Location is ideal, very close to the centre. Lots of places to eat or drink around the hostel. The room was very clean and comfortable and at a good price. Only slight problem was that some of the staff did not speak english, but that was in the end a good opportunity to practise that bit of Spanish we knew!

Sevilla Inn Backpackers

Stayed here for 3 nights when in Sevilla and had an amazing time! The hostel is located literally in the centre of the city right next to the cathedral with lots of bars and restaurants round the corner. The staff was friendly and helpful and there were lots of events going on in the hostel everyday. Must-do is the free walking tour! We went on such a tour with Filippo, an Italian 'Tom Cruise look alike' guide. That was both educational and entertaining! Definitely return if in Sevilla again
