El Viajero San Andres Hostel & Suites

San Andres Island, Colombia

Great layout, cool decor, amazing staff, and well-considered facilities. It's obvious that every detail here has been thought through. We stayed both here and at the El Viajero in Cartagena and our experiences were like night and day. If you didn't like the one in Cartagena don't let it put you off from staying here -- this is a fantastic hostel.

Casa Beula

Taganga, Colombia

This is a great hostel! Clean, pretty, and very comfortable. The location was peaceful and breezy, and just a short walk to the beach. They were so helpful and attentive and we were very happy with our stay. If you're looking for a smaller, quieter hostel in Taganga this is it. The directions could use an update, to include how to find the hostel from the bus stop near the water. Also, we were told we owed more than what was stated on our Hostelworld receipt - make sure to bring yours along.

Andarilho Oporto Hostel

Porto, Portugal

I had a fantastic time in Porto and the staff at Andarilho were amazing – friendly, interesting, and cool people. It's really unfortunate that the room itself was cold and wet: really humid and smelling very strongly of mildew. The shower stall was missing its door and thus flooded the bathroom floor with water, which was covered with towels to soak up the excess. My clothes still smell of that room, and it's been weeks! It's really too bad, because this could be a great place to stay otherwise!

Grande Hostel de Coimbra

Coimbra, Portugal

The house is amazing. Really cool place to stay, and I loved the chill atmosphere. Internet almost nonexistent at times. The front gate wasn't exactly a watertight security system – there was a hole in it that someone could fit their hand through. Those are basically my two issues and otherwise I was quite happy with my stay.

Travellers House

Lisbon, Portugal

Excellent hostel. Washrooms are a bit tight – but that's really the only weak point – and not that much of a weakness either! I highly recommend this one.

Living Mad Hostel

Madrid, Spain

Great location, close to the museums and nightlife. Security is good but the key system needs work: it's just too difficult to open the room doors. Facilities are spartan... only cold water for the bathroom sinks; very small rooms; sheets less than clean. The staff is very helpful though and definitely helped make our stay more enjoyable. You're generally getting good value for your money - the rates were quite low when we stayed here - but don't expect somewhere particularly clean or quiet.

Vintage Boutique Hostel

Paris, France

Nice, friendly and clean hostel. Good opportunities to meet other travelers. Not in a central tourist location, but it's in an awesome neighbourhood with easy access to the metro, Montmartre, and Gare Du Nord. Lots to do and see right around the hostel, and getting to the city's other attractions is fast. Would stay there again.

Sant Jordi Mambo Tango

Barcelona, Spain

The staff, location, character, and facilities of this hostel helped us have an amazing experience in Barcelona. Yes, it\'s quiet - which is great - but you\'ll also get to know the staff and the other travelers there... imagine that! Mambo Tango is a great place to stay and is totally deserving of every 100% review it gets.
