Second Home Hostel

Istanbul, Turkey

This hostel has an amazing atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and fun to be around. They went out of their way to assist with further travel plans in Turkey. The roof terrace was excellent and the hostel often had Turkish dinners up there which was a great way to meet people. It was walking distance to all the main sights and in a safe area. I will definitely stay there again next time I go to Istanbul.

Far Out Camping

Ios, Greece

WARNING! BED BUGS! Upon arrival, the care factor of staff was close to non existent. The receptionist seemed angry when we asked for a locker. Our hut thing was filthy and there was rubbish from previous guests. There were many insects and my legs were savaged by bed bugs. The kennels are also next to the pool bar which plays music all night. It was also incredibly noisy as you could hear everything talking. The bathrooms were covered with faeces for at least eight hours

I know your check-in got mixed up and you got a bedtent that wasn't cleaned. However this was changed as soon as you told me. Even though we spray for insects every week you have to expect a few when you go camping. If it would have been bedbugs your room mate would have had the same problem. The toilets are getting cleaned at least every 4 hours 24 hours a day. It's impossible that the poolbar plays music all night as it closes 10 pm.

Markos Village

Ios, Greece

Such an amazing hostel in a perfect location in the village. Staff were excellent- especially George and Iggy who were incredibly hospitable and kind. Great for travellers on a budget as they give you the option of using the bar or purchasing your own alcohol from the supermarket. Excellent pool and view of the village. We loved staying here

Zorbas Hotel

Athens, Greece

Had such a good time staying here! Very hospitable! Giovanni at reception is hilarious. Will definitely stay there again!

SoBo House Brighton

Brighton, England

Despite this hostel being filthy and smelly due to ongoing renovations (which we weren't made aware of when booking), we were still expected to pay full price. The renovation work also meant it was very difficult to sleep in or relax at all during the day.

Dear Tess Many thanks for your feedback On the day you arrived our builders were simply touching up the final last jobs in our new reception area and they had been working all through the night (as a lot of the staff had ) to get things ready - we now have a fantastic welcoming reception area Our staff are at your service 24/7 and if there was something not right we would have put it right had we been notified We have e mailed you a discount voucher for your next trip as a gesture of goodwill and look forward to seeing you again Best regards, SBH

Astor Museum Inn

London, England

This is the best hostel i've ever stayed in.

This hostel had a very central location. The rooms were large and airy, and were very clean. The shower and toilet within the room were both very clean also.
