Staff were very nice and accommodating, the hostel is in a good spot. The hostel rules make you pay extra for leaving your bags after 1pm on checkout day, and there are no locks on the dorm doors, although there are lockers and the front door is locked.
Best hostel in Budapest if you're up for a crazy party week - anything goes. Mansaw, Gooch, Krusty, Shayler and Jonny are mad dudes. Will definitely be staying there again. Potatoes.
Great hostel. Huge, with heaps of facilities. The front desk and bar staff are very cool and helpful and there is a really good atmosphere for meeting other travellers - there's even a dancefloor. The only con about the place is the crappy Wifi signal (at least on the 4th floor).
It's the "staff" that make this hostel, a very special bunch. More like mates, you wouldn't know they were staff unless you're up early enough to see them repairing the carnage from the previous night. The hostel itself is solid - free wifi, towels, lockers, struggle cuddles and you'll thank baby Jesus for the A/C in summer. If you're ready to bring the ruckus and party, then stay here. Big love to Jenny, Claws, Tom, Sly, Demi, and whoever that sus South Australian bloke working there is.
Staff are awesome. The dorms rooms are big and the bunks are wide and comfortable. The ensuites are in great condition. Party atmosphere is good. Swiper cards and computers work great. Highly recommended!
Amazing. Mama and the staff make it awesome.
Good, clean place and the beds are decent. No lockers within the dorms though. Laundry is expensive. Very close to the train station which is a major plus if you need to get around on the metro or if you have an early train.
Great hostel. TV and lots of movies in the rooms. The underground bar is cool, good internet and a good place to meet your fellow hostel mates and drink your own alcohol. Could probably use more showers and WCs. You can make good use of the kitchen, and the apartments have their own kitchens within.
Stelios and the family are really nice people. The rooms are good and clean, they give you a deal for ATV hire across the street. Perissa Beach is mostly just families and couples though (and also great cheap restaurants), so if you want to party stay in Thira town.
Marousa and her family were very nice. They arrange pickup from your ferry and helped us find the best deals for ATV hire. The view from here is absolutely awesome, and its a 5 minute walk to town and the bus stop for buses to Farout.
The best place to stay in Ios if you can afford it. Book it as far in advance as you can. Its right on the beach which is packed and you can do watersports and play volleyball. They have half-hourly buses to town (town and Farout are the only places you will spend time) and they have awesome pool parties every night. The restaurant is good and fairly cheap too.
A huge camping ground right on Paraga beach, but you may no even leave the pool bar. The staff are cool, and the place has its own minimarket and self-serve cafe. The bungalows are very basic and pretty hot but you wont be spending much time in them anyway. Its a 10 minute rocky walk to Paradise Club and the nearest ATM.
In a dirty industrial area with nowhere around to get food or a drink. Stray dogs roam around outside. We couldnt lock our door, and the beds are hard as rocks and covered in hard plastic so you sweat intensely. This is very close to the airport though - a 5 minute taxi ride can be booked at reception. Only stay here if you have an early flight the next day.
Right in the center of town, close to everything. Pretty cramped, basic rooms. Didn't have any mosquitos though.
Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The place is a short taxi ride to MDK and Kao San. The food is excellent and very good value.
A good place, bar is cool and a the TV room is a nice place to chill out. There is a cleaning crew that comes in and makes noise at 10:30 every morning.
A great place, there is a nightclub underneath it. Good chillout/TV room, and you can book all your activities at the front desk.
A place to sleep. That`s about it. No common room, they didn`t give a key to the dorm or lock the doors. Rooms and beds are very good though.
Great place, the outside courtyard and chillout room are really good. They have 5 computers and the net`s free. About a 20 minute walk to the beach. You could also get the tram and be quicker.
They really know what they're doing. The kitchen is very good, and the shuttle bus up and down the hill is very useful. 1 euro 500ml beers at the bar!
Really cool staff, very eager to make your stay enjoyable. We stayed in 3 different rooms, 2 of them didn´t have windows so there was a fan on us all the time and no natural light. The 3rd room had a windows but there are 2 bars outside the hostel and couldn´t sleep. There is a themed dinner every night which is great. Nice community feel to it.
Noisy dorms, the kitchen is pretty big. An average place.
Apartment-style accommodation. Good facilities but the there are semi-threatening warning signs posted throughout the rooms about heavy fines for late checkout, making any noise after 9pm or... anything. A bit weird. Was very cheap though.
Great place, the bar downstairs is cool. Everyone congregates there and you can play board games or ping pong. You get a security wristband which works on your dorm door and locker, very smart. About a 20 minute walk to the beach. Staff are cool, and the bar has 3 euro bucket beers.
Good location, a short walk to La Rambla. The common room is cool, they have a selection of DVDs and a big TV. Great place to chill out with some sangria after a big day exploring.
Very big place, there are always people downstairs at the bar. Cages under the bunks are a good idea for security, a bit noisy though. Bed curtains are genius.
Easily the best hostel I've been to. Great atmosphere, more like a get-together of friends than a hostel. They cook dinner for everyone each night and take you out on the town if you want. Awesome place, very easy going.
The place is very big and they are in a great location. A 2 minute walk gets you on the tram that takes you around the museum district or to the u-bahn to get around. The staff didnt seem to enjoy their job, molstly young guys who werent very helpful. The rec room is good, you need to pay for internet. The showers are in a block, so you are showering with other people.
Very nice rooms, the bar opens till late. It's like an old style hotel, very nice and right next to Central Train Station.
