We were upgraded to a private double which was nice, the whole place was spotlessly clean and extremely secure. The only issue I had with the security was that the staff were the only people with a key to let you in or out of the property and I felt bad if I came and went a lot. Also the double didn't have any real power points, only 2 prong ones so i couldn't charge my laptop in the room. Didn't really use the kitchen but it looked nice and the location was great! so close to bus station!

Thank you for writing a review. We are happy to hear you found the hostel clean, secure and conveniently located. Security is one of our top priorities so access is controlled by staff but it is never a bother. Have a great trip!

We were a day late and they didn't charge us for the day we booked but didn't get there which was nice. Bit of a walk from the bus station but nice to be a little out of town, and right on the road to the park. Staff were lovely. Seemed like a fun hostel if you wanted to party so it was a bit loud. People in our room were really rude: noisy when arriving at 1am, spilling water all over the top bunk which dripped down onto me, unplugging our charging things etc, not the hostels fault at all tho!

Nice clean rooms and facilities, needs a kitchen as the restaurant is expensive if you're on a standard backpacker budget. Walls are paper thin so if the rooms near you are loud you can hear everything. Reception staff really nice. Let us store stuff in luggage room whilst we travelled!

Probably one of the best hostels I've stayed in in 10 years of backpacking! They've really thought about what backpackers want and need and do o great job of getting everyone to mingle and have fun. Breakfast was excellent, they had a party on Friday night with free margeritas chips beer and salsa, and the lockers and beds are perfect. Only possible negative: not enough toilets and showers

Thanks for the great review and for your stay! Means a lot to hear reviews like this. Love the comment, "They've really thought about what backpackers want." The owner is a backpacker, the managers are backpackers, and all the staff are backpackers so we've pulled a lot of ideas from our own travels. Really hope to catch you the next time through. Thanks again and safe travels!

Awesome hostel! Super fun, dune buggy/ boarding was awesome and BBQ was great value. Rolly the bartender was great and played awesome tunes and the other lady who served breakfast was so sweet. Rooms super cute and comfortable. Worth a 10 hour round trip to visit!!!

We loved it at this hostel! Good vibe, always someone to hang out with, staff are mostly helpful and washrooms are spotless. Did colca canyon tour booked through this hostel and it was super easy. Breakfast pancakes are amazing! Beer here is as cheap as at the supermarket too! Nice safe neighbourhood really close to centre and near lots of cheap restaurants!

Had a nice stay! Owner was really helpful, we arrived at 6:50am and he immediately gave us our room and booked us onto a 7am lake tour. Was always happy to help running out to buy us water, booking taxis etc. The place is a little cold although the showers were warm (pressure was very weak though) breakfast was great. Location pretty central but a bit nosy at night.

This was my second time staying here, and aside from a lot of noise and snoring in the room (which is hardly the hostel's fault!) I had another excellent experience. the kitchen is literally the cleanest i have ever seen in a hostel and breakfast is great.

best priced hostel in downtown van. area seems a little shadey at night but easy walking distance to granville street, gas town, canada place etc. only one toilet on our floor which smelt a lot like urine but apart from that cleanliness was fine. little makeshift kitchen is good for making toast or cereal or whatever but not really possible to cook actual meals.

adequate hostel but most of the guests seemed to be over 50 and they need more toilets and showers- only 2 of each in the whole building from what i could see. pancake breakfast was amazing though and staff were very very friendly and helpful

staff were very helpful but disorganised and didnt know about surrounding area etc. we asked 3 very common questions (car parking, bike rental, good place to eat) and the staff member couldnt answer us. we tried to attend the mad monday pub crawl, which sounded like excellent value, but noone else bought tickets and rather than telling is this (they knew which room we were in) the organiser just didnt show up! we got our money back but were v dissappointed. lots of unfriendly long stay guests

had an amazing time staying here for only one night. the actual inn pub here was a little pricey and quiet, but the belushis just down the road was dirt cheap, served great food and had the most amazing bar staff i have ever come across. had an amazing night out there and so glad to have been there on kareoke night!! only criticism would be the lack of bathrooms and how hard to find everything was: house was like a rabbit warren and noone gives you a tour.

Hello We are really happy you had a great time with us and ahve taken on board your comments. We love that we can offer different styles of bars to suit the many different types of people we have through our doors. I am sorry you felt The Inn was like a rabbit warren, it is an extemely old building, 16th Century so the many corridoors is part of it's quirkiness. Perhaps we need to take a look at signage as we do actually have 6 showers/toilet and a stand alone toilet. We would be happy to give anyone a tour of the building to help familiarise you with it, please let Management or Reception know when you are here so we can help out. We have locations all over UK and Europe so look forward to seeing you again some time. Safe travels Kind Regards Michele Manager
