The 10 am check out and 10am breakfast finish time is very early in my opinion. To get to breakfast before 10 you need to have cleared the room and checked out before breakfast.
The place is near Sants Station and not far from the center. The owner helped me when i needed to stay after check out.
the receptionist was complaining that everyone was arriving at the same tome to check in. People put arrival time on reservation so it shouldn't be a surprise especially after 10pm. He said my room was on 3rd floor, and there was no lift. It was on the 2nd. Breakfast finishes at 9.30. too early
The family werelovely and courteous. The room was as expected and as i was told. The room was clean and warm and comfortable
staff very helpful. This is the first time there wasn't an excuse when i asked for a bottom bed....Friendly and helpful. One guy in reception helped me to find my shirt that i left behind, even though it was late. Thank you
all my money was taken from my debit card for the night BEFORE i arrived. Not just the deposit. There was NO key for a 10 bed dorm! the tv had no instructions and i couldn't get it to work.
i paid for a second night which was 3 days after the first. i had a receipt but the receptionist said there was no record of it at first and had to ring the other one who was prepaid! Also i was asked a long time after check in what my age was! Then i as told that people over 40 were not allowed in a dorm, and it was the same in Holland etc. I stayed in one in Holland and neirther had anythin about any age limit. How ridiculous anyway?

my bed allocation allocation was not changed despite me pointing out that there were bottom bunks free. I was told it couldn't be changed. The bunks were vacant the following morning. The hostel replied to my email about it saying that the beds were allocated. Allocations can be changed prior to arrival....I didn't arrive till after 11pm
This place always has cold military style foreign staff. It never has change at reception. Instead of a welcoming feeling, you get a cold intimidating one. The bathrooms are always smelly, cold and dirty
i had asked for a bottom bed but was not allocated one. The eceptionist kindly changed it which meant i could have been allocated it in the beginning. When i had arrived to check in around 11 am i was told i couldn't check in until 2pm. However, while i waited in the reception area, i saw another person being checked in immediately.....

someone was in my bed when i got back. The door in the toiled didn't close or lock. i reported both
i booked a 4 bed dorm and was put in a six bed. When i came back to reception they said the room must have been changed, and although it was a six bed, that there wouldn't be six people in it. Then i reported that there was no heat in the room at 6pm and was told the heat doesn't come on til 8! Check out was 10am and everyone except me had checked out early. i asked to stay in the room till 11 and was told NO!
The guy who checked me in was very nice and helpful. There was only one place to use toilets, which was on the ground floor and i was on the 2nd. They were smelly and the showers were built wrong, so there was always a big puddle in them. i wasn't told that checkout was at 10, and a staffmember burst into my room (which i shared, and everyone else was sleeping also) to ask if i was checking out at 9.50 and that i had 5 minutes to go to reception! There was no TV and only a small place to sit in

there was breakfast included on website when i booked. i was shown the breakfast room on check in. i went for breakfast and got tray and cereal i was in the q for hot breakfast, was asked for card. i was told that i wasn't entitled to breakfast. i said i was told i was, and i now have cereal on the tray. and embarrassed me and i had to leave. There was a smell of cigarette smoke on the way to the bedroom. The lights are controlled by reception so there is no switch to switch on or off lights
There is no kitchen as advertised on hostelworld. There is a fridge and sink only, no cooker, cutlery, crockery, etc. The staff spoke no English. My room door was open when i returned in the evening. i had left my passport, boarding pass and some money there. They were not stolen. i told the manager who spoke English on the phone and he said ''sorry''

i didnt appreciate being on the top of a 3 bed bunk! There was only one big light which meant everyone was disturbed when people turned it on when coming in at night. There was little space for luggage or even for 2 people to pass in the room
i already passed on my comments directly and got no reply. There was one channel on the tv in the room. i reported it and he said there are no tvs in other rooms. i went back to the room and in the bathroom, the toilet wasn't flushed, there was a cigarette init, and brown stains on the bowl. i reported it and was told that the room had not been let for a few days........Does this explain it? no Tv working in our building. No tv in private room. no bin in room. one coathanger. Had to go to another building for reception and it was raining!
the security was bad, main door, unlocked, bedroom door unlocked, wasn't very clean. the staff had bad English. they had no record of my booking
there was no lock on the bathroom door. i had to be let into the dorm cos there was no key for me
it was great to be able to use the kitchen and bathroom and store luggage after check out, as i had a late flight, thanks Ernesto.
some cleaner came into the room at 10am taking down curtains. it wasn't appreciated after a long night out and i was asleep. that shouldn't have happened till after check out. i returned to hostel late nite and had to ring bell twice before i was let in. then after producing my key, i was still asked for my name and had to wait for a long time before the guy could see it in the computer.
the girl at check in couldn't find my booking despite my handing her confirmation with ref no. then she wanted 38 euro and i gave her 50e. she asked for another 2e. then she gave me the wrong change. there was no adaptor or phone charger. the hostel is on the 2nd floor. it's called the Windsor not Ramblas Catalunya!
the kitchen lent itself to meeting others heard there was a common room when checking out. only told where room was when checking in.
being flatly refused a bed before "pm,having phoned to ask the day before and also on arrival was really not appreciated having travelled all night. i know that with check out at 10am that some beds are available soon after. a bit of consideration would have made my stay much more enjoyable.
