Stop looking at other hostels and stay here! The staff were incredible. Very friendly and extremely helpful with anything you need. The hostel is really clean and has a big, comfortable common area as well as a pretty garden to chill out in. AND you get dinner with a beer as well as breakfast!
A great family run place to stay in Sozopol! Its only a 5 - 10 minute walk to old town/ the beach and each room has a balcony with great views of the town. The only negative was finding the place. The taxi drivers won't take you because its too close so you'll need to walk or pay a ridiculous price. The directions for the hostel are for the new town bus station, and if you arrive from Burgas you get in at the old town station and there arent any directions from there - so come prepared.
The staff are great and the facilities are all new. I stayed in the new hostel and they were still setting it up (not much furniture), but in a few months I'm sure it'll be an amazing hostel.
There are only a couple of tables out the front to sit and have a drink and the terrace is a restaurant (identical to the hundred other places in sultanhamet) so there isn't much room to hang out. Having said that it was really easy to meet people in this hostel and I had a great time there. There is a travel office next door which is convenient but they only use one bus company and charge a pretty hefty commission so you're better off just going to the bus station yourself.
We stayed in a double room and had no complaints - in fact we were upgraded for free on arrival! There was no window in the room but that wasn't an issue. The bed was really comfy! Awesome location, really close to Nanjing road and the actual street it's on is good for local street food. The common room is nice and has a bar but lacking in atmosphere. All round a good option for Shanghai
