Planet Traveler

I really like Planet Traveler! This was actually my 3rd time here! It's in a great location, a good 20min walk from the eaten centre but the area it is in is great, the staff were really helpful and the free BBQ on Saturdays is great. But the best part was breakfast till 1pm, with so many options. The only downfall (if any) was the fact that there are a lot of long term people staying there and from my experience I feel a few people made the dorms like their own rooms. But overall it was great!

This hostel is heaps of fun. The staff are really friendly and helpful plus there is free dinner 3 nights a week and it's really good. twin room is kinda small but not an issue if you are in there with a friend and when we moved into a dorm we got upgraded and didn't have to wait till check in time to check back in!! only down side is that i often had to wait for a shower in the morning as the whole hostel was booked up but the free beer, hermit crab racing and free dinner made up for it!!

USA Hostels Hollywood

Los Angeles, USA

This place has a great vibe but it is pretty much a party hostel, so if you're up for a party this is where you should stay. rooms are pretty big and it's really handy having the bathroom in the room. There is a nightclub next door so it's pretty noisy on weekends if your in but besides that the hostel is a great place to meet people and have fun. Locations really good because it's close but not super close to the main part of Hollywood blvd so there are lots of cool bars and Cafe's around.

Orange Drive Hostel

Los Angeles, USA
77%

The location of this hostel is great as it is in the center of Hollywood especially for the price but the house is really old and pretty run down. there is no AC so every morning it felt like we were waking up in a tent especially since the morning sun shined straight into the windows when it came up at like 6am and the really isn't enough showers for the amount of people in the hostel. The kitchen down stairs is good plus but the $50 key deposit is a bit steep.

This hostel was great, especially if you are a solo traveler. they have heaps of activities and free bbq one of the nights i was there. The location is cool, lots of funky cafes and shops but a bit of a hike from the airport and not right in the center of Chicago. i would stay here again, it was clean and had a good vibe.

i stayed in a single room with shared bathroom and the room is tiny! but it has pretty much all you need, tv, fridge, sink, hair dryer, WiFi so for the price in that location it's really good. Staff were friendly and bed was comfortable so it well worth the money paid

i wasnt really in london to see the sights so the location was good for me but its a bit far away from the sights so it may be a bit far away if thats what your in london for, the breakfast on weekdays ends at 8.30, that was a bit early for me so i didnt eat there, but overall it was good-i got upgraded to a 2 bed dorm which was great- i would stay there again

good location and helpfull staff however when you check in you are allocated a bed however guests don't always stick to what they are given so that did create an issue for me when someone was in my bed and there was no other beds available that were made. bit pricey for what you get and for that reason i would stay in a budget hotel next time but the kitchen is a really good bonus.

We did not stay here to see the sights so the fact that it was kind of a bit out of the city didn't bother us, it was the second time we have stayed here because if you have another person with you it is so much better and cheaper to stay here then a big hostel, well thats if you don't mind not meeting people. Staff were really friendly and were happy to help when we needed something. room is pretty basic but not really an issue for us. would stay again.

this is the second time we have stayed here and i would stay again. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the hostel isn't too big so it doesn’t get overly crowded. This time round we stayed in an 8 bed dorm and the room was so much bigger then the room we had stayed in previously. great bonus is the lockers in the rooms and the individual power points near your bed

Hostal Royal

Hostel Royal isnt actually open! we turned up to all the doors being locked and a small sign on the door saying 'follow this map to another hostel' the other hostel was dirty, the toilet broke so we had to move rooms and then our room was flooded after a pipe burst in another room. the hostel is not maintained and everything is falling apart. location is ok and staff are helpful but thats about it.

i wasn't staying here to see the sights so the location wasn't a factor for me. if you want a party then this is where you go, we stayed in a twin room however were still kept awake by people coming up from the bar down stairs very drunk early in the morning. although i don't particually have an issue with this place however it is expensive for what it is and if your not up for a party then i would recomend you stay at a budget hotel for the same price.

we were only here for 1 night but it has a pretty good location, just down the road from the colosseum however the morning we checked out i had a cold shower. i told one of the staff members and she fiddled with the water heater and it seemed to fix its self after about half an hour.

The lady who greeted us was so friendly and helpful. it was probably about a 10-15 min walk to the tower and about the same to the supermarket. it was cosy and felt like being at home. the only downside was that there was no one there to answer any questions we had however i would recommend it to my friends, it was a great stay!

really good location, close to the city and the market although a bit of a walk from the train station especially when you have a heavy backpack. The bar down stairs was a bit loud at night especially if your room is on the same side of the building so bring earplugs just incase. overall though i would stay again.

We had such a great time here! its a bit of a walk to the main part of the town but its a nice walk, the staff were great as were the facilities. There´s a bar and an roof top terrace which is great for the sunny days plus we met some great people to share it with. I would definitely stay here again!

Not a nice place at all. we were placed in a building about 100m down the road and it was not a good experience. The room was not well maintained, once you finished your shower the water was around your ankles, the windows would not close and at the time we were there there was roadworks outside our window that started very early. only plus side was that the staff were friendly. only stay here if you have no other option.

we really liked the location as it was close to the metro and lots of places to eat however it was pretty noisy in the morning as it looked over the street and there was no real common room to meet other people.the wifi was free which was a bonus and the staff were friendly

On the first night my travel partner and i were split up because of something to do with not having two beds in the same room even though we had booked together and as a result of that we also had to check out and check back in the next day becuase we were changing rooms, besides the bad room mates the 1st night there wasn't really that much to complain about. nice location-close to supermarket and tube and comfy beds. however would probibly try somewhere different next time i'm in london
