Snuffel Backpacker Hostel

Bruges, Belgium

Great hostel in a great location. The only thing I would really complain about is the wifi. It only works in the bar and at peak times it doesn't even work then. Otherwise the staff were friendly. They helped me sort out some finance problems i had. I really appreciate that. One member of staff was really into his beers and was more than happy to tell me about it all.. If you like beer then you really need to at least visit the place, even if you don't stay there. Great selection and price.

Astor Hyde Park

London, England

Stayed in an ensuite mixed dorm. The room had a toilet and shower and was pretty good. The only thing was that there is no bar as such but didn't hang around the hostel so much at night. Staff was very helpful.

Keylany Hotel

Aswan, Egypt

Basic accommodation. The roof section is very pretty though. You have breakfast up there. You can also get a beer or five from a local restaurant and spend the evening up on the rooftop.

City Plaza Hostel

Cairo, Egypt

Fairly good. Clean rooms. Basic breakfast. Towels. Ayman is quite a character and very helpful. Hot water is intermittent, need a heater unit. Booked a tour through them which went well for the most part. Will need to pay entry fees for temples etc. but that seems to be standard. Got ripped off for the camel/horse ride option for the pyramids. You can get a horse inside the pyramid complex for 30 Egyptian pounds.
