Lee Garden Guest House

Lee Guarden Guest House is one of the best places to stay in HK, if you need private rooms. It's centrally located around TST station and there's lots to do and eat around this area. The staff is friendly and Mr. Charlie is a famous man in Hong Kong. I was very impressed. However, I was less impressed by the constant nagging for payment. In any other place in Asia, you pay at the end of your stay, but here if you didn't pay immediately for the current night, they started nagging you endlessly

Great place, super clean, super friendly staff. Definitely recommend it. This is the higher-end of hostels/guesthouses, so you pay more, but it's really just as nice as a great luxurious hotel.

Parami Guesthouse

Best guesthouse in Chiang Mai by far! Roger, the owner, was super friendly and he and his staff helped me to get around. All the rooms were very clean, with warm showers and all very low-cost. It's only a short 5 minute ride or 15 minute walk to the Old City and there's red buses you can catch riding all around the guesthouse every few minutes. Great place, friendly staff and good value!

2nd worst hostel in Bangkok. Smallest rooms EVER! Area is in a ghetto and you have to walk through a grimey alley with drunk men (can't be a good feeling for women). The bed blanket was actually a big towel, I have no idea why. I have never in my life seen a room as small as this one. Just barely fit the bed. Bathroom was so small that the toilet didn't fit, so you have to sit sideways! It was clean though, nice architecture, staff was okay. WiFi didn't work on my floor. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Saphaipae Hostel

One of the most professionally run hostels in Bangkok. When you enter it feels like a breeze of fresh air just hits you. Everything is super clean, tidy, the staff is super helpful and speaks perfect English. And there's a great restaurant in the hostel with actual good Thai food, although I'd recommend eating street food for a more Thai experience. The only downside to all this goodness is that, by being so comfortable, it misses some of the character you get in the more grimey places.

This is by far one of the best places I have stayed in South East Asia. It's not a party hostel which they make clear to everyone, it's more of a mellow hostel but it's right center in the hustle and bustle of Sukhumvit and located on the Sukhumvit Soi 38 Street which has an amazing night food market, where you can eat some of the best street food in the whole of Bangkok. The staff is super friendly although the cleaning girl kept looking at everyone a bit angrily, maybe she's sick of cleaning?

Next to Rosy in Siem Reap, Cambodia this is probably the best hostel in Asia. High quality rooms and great prices and the most fun staff!

The double room was very large for the price. Very friendly staff. Definitely go here. Unfortunately we had to move another hotel (of the same family) because we did not have a second day booking. But that's more our own fault than theirs. District 1 hotels get full really quickly.

Best place I staid in whole Asia. Most friendly staff of any place I staid too. It's run by one British woman and two guys I think and they have employed local Khmer people to run the place. In the mean time the locals learn English and get experience in running a hotel. The food is absolutely delicious. They have a mix of Western, typical British and local Khmer food. Free DVD rental, book librrary, free bus pickup. 10/10
