The Monkeys in the Trees

London, England

Good hostel - bit far out but good price. Nice bar common area underneath, peaceful area and comfy beds :)

Lagan Backpackers

Belfast, Northern Ireland

Great hostel - the staff were fantastic, a really great group of aussies and kiwis who made our stay. Cool location too, close to vintage shops, book stores and nice cafes - everywhere within walking distance (except maybe the giant's causeway!)

Amsterdam Hostel Uptown

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Great location

Hostel Slotania

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Firstly, the hostel is very far from the centre of amsterdam We had bikes so wasnt a big deal. The staff weren't great - quite unhelpful with rebooking a room. We wanted to stay for an extra night - we were told that there were no rooms available at our previous price and that we could only stay in a more expensive room. We checked the hostelbookers website and found 20+ vacancies for the cheaper price. Had to check out and re check in to get the deal. Rooms were clean and facilities were good.

Mandala Hostel

Budapest, Hungary

Best hostel ever! Didn't feel like a hostel, more like you were staying at somebody's very cool place. The dorm, though 8 beds, was seperated into 4 groups of two beds so you had bit of privacy while still being part of a dorm. Great shared spaces, amazing decore, lovely staff and even a nice little book exchange to top things off. Will definitely stay here again!

Living Mad Hostel

Madrid, Spain

Fun common room, good breakfast, nice staff - they made sure we were all in the same room even though we were all from different bookings. Cool location, overall decent place to stay.

Ideal Youth Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

Great location, right on La Ramblas. I didn't stay in the main hostel, got moved to an old apartment with dorm rooms. Great views of las Ramblas but it was on the 4th floor with no elevator. Lockers were small, could only really fit a small bag/laptop etc...staff were great, especially the girls!

The two young Aussie boys at reception were unprofessional and unhelpful, however the two older men were great. Really cramped dorms with not enough storage (triple bunks). Great breakfast and lots of common areas.

Kabul Backpackers Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

Great place for meeting ppl - massive hostel alcking the homely feeling of other hostels but if you're there for a good time and many latenights its a great place. Awesome club nights every night and the free brekky and dinner were pretty decent.

Funky Granada

Granada, Spain

Great place, easy to meet ppl - the tapas tour is great! The 4 bed dorms are split into groups of two beds so it was nice to have some privacy while still having the chance to meet people.

Casa Babylon Backpackers

Malaga, Spain

Really great hostel if you want to enjoy Malaga away from all the tourist traps. Staff were excellent - both for information and to hang out with. If you´re thinking of going in summer, DON´T THINK TWICE! amazing facilities for the sun!

Sevilla Inn Backpackers

Seville, Spain

The staff (especially Blandine) went above and beyond but the kitchen is too small and there are not enough bathrooms for such a big hostel. Also there was alot of older guests (people asleep in our dorm by 8.30pm) which took away from the atmosphere of the place.

Vertigo Centre

Marseille, France

really nice place to stay, felt very secure here, a bit pricey but it was more like a hotel than a hostel. great common area, kitchen was just a microwave but overall a really nice place.
