VERY central. VERY clean (bathrooms and showers are cleaned twice daily). The service is top class. Staff organizes evenings for guests (e.g. dinner out, soup evening, mojito evening etc), and even do pancakes for breakfast! Only annoying things were that they don't accept credit cards, and well, being a restored old house, our room was on the 5th floor with no lift. Would definitely and highly recommend this hostel to anyone who can pay cash and go up stairs :)
A very cosy hostel with very helpful staff and lovely breakfast. Being a converted 10 year old house, noise travels fast between rooms but can't complain at all. Our stay there was lovely and looking forward to go there again following our stay in Lisbon.
This hostel serves its purpose. There are bathrooms, there are rooms with very comfortable beds. It might not be the best hostel for light sleepers especially if the room is close the kitchen/common area and bathrooms. However, the common area/kitchen closes at 11pm. Breakfast is very basic. The hostel is only around 10 mins on foot to the train station, and 5 minutes tops to the next metro.
Very good value for money. Simple but good breakfast. 2 mins walk from metro (Madou) which is very central, and very clean. Wi-Fi doesn't work so well from the 3rd floor where i had my room... but downstairs it should.
We booked 3 nights and ended up staying for 7!Hosts Wesley and Juliana have made our stay the most welcoming in our 3 months of travel in S.America. Excellent facilities, safe area, very close to main attractions (by bus). They are very motivated and even offered us (all guests) to join them for a long night out in Lapa on a Friday night... and we did! Would recommend to anyone.
Excellent, neat and impressively beautiful rooms. Breakfast was good, and staff very friendly, especially if you can speak Italian :) Hotel is not more than 5 mins away from airport - ideal for a stopover night.
