Loved Nomads Fort Street! Perfect location, clean rooms & communal areas. AMAZING food (and cheap drinks) at the bar next door. Will be coming back!

One of the best hostels I've stayed in in NZ. Great pool and spa, massive kitchen, although that was pretty grubby. The showers were also pretty dirty, but the hostel was very busy so I suppose it can't be helped. Short walk into Nelson so perfect location. Would definitely recommend :)

I was supposed to be in a girls only dorm, but when I managed to get into the room (after clambering over rubbish and clothes) there were mens clothes and shoes and mens products in the bathroom. The room was filthy, I wouldn't have let my dog stay in there to be honest! I would imagine the people in there 'lived there' and had no respect for anyone else going into the room... anyway, I complained and was placed in another room which was MUCH better... VERY squeaky beds though!

I am sorry that there was an error in your booking when it came through to our system. In our notes, it seems that it was a mixed room that was booked originally! I am affriad that when a guest checks into the room, it becomes their home while they are here, and sometimes that means they spread out, without really thinking about others who are arriving. I am pleased that my reception team managed to find you something more suitable and I hope that should you wish to come and stay again, it would be more to your liking. Best wishes, Cat Ritchie, General Manager

LOVE Gilligans!! Great bar, great pool... evening meal was pretty dire, more of a snack than anything, and VERY basic... but free so can't complain! Kitchens were dirty but that's standard in most hostels these days!

Stayed in a private room with en suite... there was no window so was like a sauna, and smelt pretty gross when we first walked in! Tried to check in 3 times but the queue was HUGE, there was only one girl on reception, poor thing was rushed off her feet!!! Nice hostel though, and good value, so would stay again, and Altitude Bar was lots of fun! Excellent location too!

Stayed a week at around the world and enjoyed our time there! The owners are lovely and can't do enough for you! They make dinner for everyone once a week which is a good way of meeting people. It's such a shame the city is closed as it's really close, but there are busses nearby to take you to shopping malls etc. You can also book various excursions through the hostel which is handy! Massive kitchen and internet on their computers is also free and fast. Would definately recommend :)

DO NOT STAY HERE! I stayed 5 nights and only slept about 10 hours in total... the room I was in was disgusting. There was 3 people working nights so they'd come in at 6am with their gfriends, wake everyone up, and not get up until 6pm. It was horrible, I need councilling after those 5 days. If you HAVE to stay, just do a couple days then look for a house, you'll still meet people but have your own space and house shares are cheaper!

Hi Lucy, I am sorry your stay was not how you had planned. As management, this is not what we wish our guests to have to put up with. It's not on. I only wish you could have seen us re your bad experience and we could have moved you rooms. I hope the rest of your travels are ok. Anthony

LOVED staying at Drop Inn!! Excellent hostel, right next to a MRT station so can be in the city in a flash. Shower/Toilets a bit cramped but we managed, will be staying again when I pass through Singapore again next month. There's a real 'family' vibe to the place, and the chill out area is perfect for using the internet/watching tv/making friends! Thank you for a wonderful stay in Singapore Drop Inn xxx
