The Dreamer Hostel

Santa Marta, Colombia

Nice place with a good pool, good vibe and a perfect location in Santa Marta (right next to a shopping mall). The kitchen is quite good equipped and you can also use their restaurant (food is reasonable priced). The staff was helpful. We stayed in a double bed room with fan - the room was clean and spacious. If you can stay in a room A/C since its really hot. Would stay again and highly recommend the place.

We stayed in a double bed room for 3 nights. Unfortunately are the private rooms next to the pool, people talk there after partying - prepare to get not so much sleep. It is definetly a party hostel but it's what you do in Cali. I found the hostel very clean and the rooms were new. The staff was really kind and helpful. Good free Salsa lesson everyday. The location is good - quite a few good restaurants close by. Kitchen was clean and decent equipped. Probably the best choice in Cali.

Park Life Hostel

Popayan, Colombia

That place has such a nice vibe. The 3 owners and volunteers are amazing - really helpful and kind. The kitchen is quite well equipped. The hostel is clean and in a really good location (right next door to the church in the main plaza). Very nice living area. Enough shared toilets and bathrooms. There are lots of information regarding trips, sights and food in and around Popayan. If you want to visit Popayan thats the place to be. Would stay there again - Highly recommend it

The Secret Garden Cotopaxi

Cotopaxi National Park, Ecuador

The location is stunning. Nice gardens and set up. The volunteers are really good and care about the guests. The tours are good value for the money. Disappointing is the hot shower for the cabanas. I recommend a gas burner for each cabana and not to share one also the encloser needs to be improved to ensure that the wind doesn't blow the flame out. The food was average. The lock for the cabana didn't work - would be good for people who want to lock the room. Needs improvement for the price.

Chicago Hostal

Quito, Ecuador

The place is in my opinion very good value for the money. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is quite well equipment. Rooms are basic, clean and spacious. We stayed 2 nights in a normal double bed room and 1 night in a deluxe room. I would invest the extra money and stay in the deluxe room which has wifi connection as well. A small issue is that the deluxe rooms have only Spanish TV channels. I would write that in the description. Would stay again and recommend the place.

Thank you for your good rating and good words. We really appreciate your opinion. Regarding the TV with Spanish channels, you will see on our HW description, on the section of Facilities that we do not offer TV cable or something similar but on the section of Things To Note you will find “DirecTV at lobby/bar” , besides you will find a help when you put the cursor over the name of every room, on the area of Rates and on the deluxe rooms you will find this information: TV with local channels

Ekeko Hostel

Lima, Peru

The hostel is located in a quiet area of miraflowers with a nice cinema and supermarket close by. The hostel has a nice common area. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a double bed room. The room was clean and the shower hot. The only thing is that the rooms seem to be quite new and therefore there are still big gaps between walls and ceiling and you can feel the airstream coming through especially in a cold day / night. That should be improved and then it's fine.

The staff was awesome, they helped me organising a doctor and they took care of us. The hostel is around 10min. from the main plaza. They cleaned the hostel very well, even changed and washed the shower curtain. Not a party hostel! The facilities are good. The kitchen is a bit inconvienet - cooking is quite hard, not really enough equipment. Breakfast was decent with fruit, eggs, bread,.... They have a travel agency to organise your Machu Pichu trip and other locations. Would stay there again!

Hostal Naira

La Paz, Bolivia

It's more like a hotel than a hostel but very nice to relax after a trip in Salar de uyuni. Our room had floor heating, nice hot shower and cable tv. The breakfast was Buffett style with scrambled eggs, pancakes, bread and fruit. Location is right next to San Francisco and the tourist area. Would stay there again and recommend it for people who need to relax for a while.

Hostal Los Salares

Tupiza, Bolivia

Nice hostel with clean rooms. Try to get room 1 (double ensuite) because the sun heats up the room during the day and you'll notice it in the night. Location is a bit out of town. The staff was helpful always. We did the Salar de Uyuni tour with Los Salares and would definitely do it again. Our driver Segundino and his wife Porfidia were awesome. He looked after the car very well and we felt safe in any situation. Car was good maintained. The food was great. Definitely recommend Hostel + tour!

Santa Cecilia

Sucre, Bolivia

We had some travel issues and without the help of the owners we were more or less lost. They got in touch with the people and followed it up until the issue was sorted. We only booked 2 nights but stayed in the end 2 weeks - no problem to extend. The hostel is in a quiet area, the kitchen is clean and fully equipped. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The owners don't speak English - basic Spanish is helpful. Wifi is free but like all in Boliva not reliable. Highly recommend the hostel

Open House Barra

Salvador, Brazil

Alex was amazing. He offered us a cold drink as we arrived and showed us around the whole place - he made us feel very welcome! The open house is probably the most relaxed place we stayed in. Beautiful common area with nice paintings and chill out music, the whole house has a very nice artists touch. Breakfast was good as well. To be fair, the bathrooms need to be renovated. We highly recommend the place (especially for people who want to relax) and would definitely stay again! Thanks guys!

Mango Tree Ilha Grande

Ilha Grande, Brazil

Very friendly and helpfull staff. I booked for 3 nights but stayed only two because I misread that there is no Internet available (by the time I was there, maybe has changed now) and a kitchen to use. Anyway I could shorten my stay without any problems. The place is quiet and close to the beach but a bit of a walk into the main area. Breakfast was good. I would definetely recommend that place for people who want to chill out.

Hostel Manga Rosa

Foz do Iguacu, Brazil

Giselle and Joe were amazing. They invited us for afternoon tea, a good movie afterwards and Giselle got up to drove us to the airport at 4:30 am.! It was more like catching up with friends! The hostel is a bit out of town in a quiet area. Local bus stop is around the corner. We would definitely stay there again and recommend the place.

Gorriti 4290 Bed & Breakfast

Buenos Aires, Argentina

We booked originally for 4 nights but enjoyed our time so much that we stayed for 2 weeks. The owners are really kind and helpful. The location is in Palermo and you can easy walk to restaurants and bars. Take a bus or the metro to the city centre of BA. The breakfast was awesome - the best we had so far in Argentina and Chile. To be fair, it is an old house and noisy from the traffic. As well there is no sign on the door. Just ring the bell and someone will open. We would stay again.
