Fantastic location down a quiet lane but a two minute walk to all the action. The staff were nice, breakfast was ok. Unfortunately we were on level five and with no lift it's a long way up! The air con in our room was very weak.
The staff at Mojzo are fantastic and the breakfast is one of the best free breakfasts we've had in our five months of traveling. The double room we stayed in was quite small but very clean. We stayed on level 1 and unfortunately it was extremely noisy, especially early in the morning. Great place for young backpackers.
Great breakfast with lots of choices. Staff were very nice and helpful. Location is great. Room was basic but comfortable.
The staff at Hanoi 3b are fantastic. Very friendly and helpful but never pushy. The location couldn't be much better. Breakfast is great - with lots of different options made to order. I would definitely recommend staying at Hanoi 3b!
We stayed in a superior double room with an ensuite. The room and bathroom were large. It was great having the bed made everyday but they did not replace towels which was something we needed after five nights! The room got a bit of a musty Semele as the bathroom didn't have a window but it was bearable. The staff are great - extremely friendly. The breakfast is good for a hostel. It's about a 10 minute walk into the heart of the city but it's straight down one road so very easy.
We stayed in a superior double room - it was huge with tonnes of natural light. I really loved the secluded relaxed feeling of the resort. It was a little bit noisy early mornings with roosters, dogs, chickens and pigs however that's pretty common in SE Asia! I would definitely recommend staying here!
We stayed in a basic double room with a shared bathroom. The room was the smallest room we have stayed in during our four months of travel. The bathroom was right across the hall which was handy. I would suggest that a mirror in either the bathroom or the bedroom would be good as there was none. Also somewhere to hang wet towels in the bedroom would be handy. The people who worked at Sihome were fantastic - very friendly and inclusive. The breakfast was delicious - we lived having a choice!
No 26D is a comfortable guesthouse. We stayed in the cheaper room with the shared bathroom. We didn't actually have to share the bathroom but it was out on the terrace (not joined to the room). The wall between this room and the one next door has a gap at the top therefore you can hear a lot of what is going on next door. The fan only seemed to have two settings - off and very high. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay and the host was friendly.
The staff at Nomad Cave are absolutely fantastic. I haven't yet experienced such helpful friendly staff. It made everything so much easier as they were so knowledgeable about the area and activities and understood the types of places backpackers want to go to visit and eat. The accommodation is basic but I really appreciated the heater in our cave room as it was really cold when we were there.
Marmara Guesthouse is in a great location - a five minute walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Palace. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great, especially the home made jams. The guy who works on reception during the day is very helpful and friendly. We booked again to stay at the end of our trip to Turkey. There was a slight hiccup with the booking but I would definitely recommend staying here!
I highly recommend staying at Riad Chez Lea if you want to stay somewhere value for money that is a little quieter and nicer than a party hostel for young backpackers. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. The location is good - a 10 minute walk out of the craziness of the main square.
We have stayed in quite a few hostels over the past two months and this was one of the best. The hostel is fitted out beautifully and very clean. Breakfast is fresh and very tasty - a real change from the usual breakfast fare in Morocco. Joe and his brother are very friendly and have lots of advice and local tips. I highly recommend this hostel for the younger traveller.
The staff at The Melting Pot Tanger were great. Very helpful and patient for those travelers that have just arrived in Morocco. Getting to the hostel from where the taxi drops you off can be a little confronting with many locals wanting to help you. Just be prepared and try to look like you know what you are doing. The double room we stayed in was a good size. Breakfast was simple but yum. Another bathroom on our level would have been great.
Great central location. Very easy to get from the bus and to the ferry the next day - both distances easily walkable. The room was a good size and had a lovely little balcony. The communal kitchen is very basic and really needs updating but otherwise good value for money!

Great for one or two nights. Good, big shower. Short walk to the centre of town. Parking for 9 euro nearby. The staff gave us a map. Very little atmosphere - not the type of place you will meet other travelers as there is no communal area.

We chose Arco Iris as it has free car parking outside on the street which is great if you have a rental car. We didn't realize it was a three bedroom house with one bathroom for guests to share (not a hostal) which is fine if a more cosy/communal feel is what you are looking for. It's an easy 5 minute walk to a supermarket if you want to cook dinner. The host was very friendly and provided us with lots of information and a map. Breakfast is cooked for you which is a nice surprise.

We initially had three nights booked and ended up extending to five nights. The staff at Hilux are really friendly and helpful. There are lots of activities to get involved in - we did a free walking tour and a pub crawl. Both were good. The communal kitchen is really well equipped and a great place to meet other travelers. The themed rooms are really unique and fun. I loved the location as it was so close to the Central Market. I would definitely recommend staying at Hilux!,
The room we stayed in was very small but the shower was huge which was a nice change to some of the places we have stayed. The location is fantastic - you couldn't get much better.
Even though the location is a little out from the city centre it has some great places to eat and drink nearby. Be prepared to do a fair bit of walking to get to the sites and activities. It would be good if checkout time could be a little later than 10am. Overall a good hostel!
A lovely homely feeling. Fantastic location, right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. I wish we could have stayed longer!
Fantastic hostel! Loved the walking tours - we went on two. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
Fantastic value for money. The breakfast was great - lots of choice. Highly recommended for travelers on a budget!
Our first impression of Aphrodete was great and all the little added extras was what made it a standout. Angeliki picked us up from the bus terminal and provided us with lots of valuable information and recommendations. She was more than willing to help. Tea and coffee as well as chocolate filled croissants were provided every day. For a traveller on a budget, Aphrodete is fantastic value for money. I would definitely recommend to others!
Very friendly an helpful staff! The hotel is clean and secure.
This was the best hostel I stayed at during my time in South America. It was clean, extremely comfortable and the staff were very helpful. I would highly recommend the Adventure Brew Hostel.
