It's abt a 10-15min walk from Gloucester Station (or High St Kensington). Rooms are vacuumed and toilets are cleaned everyday. Large kitchen, big common area, friendly staff, quiet neighborhood for a good night's sleep. All in all a very comfortable hostel to be at when in London
location-wise a slight distance away from city centre, but convenient as there are supermarkets right opp. 10 min walk to the bus/train stations, very well-equipped (as it is a student hostel afterall) with ensuite toilet/kitchen, common area, desktops etc.
5 mins walk to the old town, clean rooms, large common area with kitchen, sufficient showering facilities. Presently under some renovation and I noticed that a sauna and even a pool has been installed, so facilities-wise it's gonna be really good once those are in operation.
I reserved a single bed room. The room was extremely small, the bed basically a sofa which u then pull out to be your bed. Very dirty (I can easily spot crumbs and sand on the surface), very hard and very uncomfortable. The room has a downward sliding ceiling which makes standing upright impossible 3 steps into the room. Only window is at the end of the room where the ceiling is lowest, opens out into the carpark where everyone can see into your room. Same for toilet, can't stand upright to pee!
Dorms were themed, directions to the hostel were easily followed, good facilities with more than sufficient toilets/showers, decent wifi, good kitchen, friendly staff
Rooms were a little small but clean. Location was ok. Downside was the wifi which does not reach to the rooms. No facilities to cook with in the kitchen as well, only a microwave and hot water.
Very close to the bus/train station (less than 10 mins walk), sufficient toilets/showers, desktops for using the internet, good wifi signal, cozy living room to lounge. I did notice that there was a dorm beside the kitchen, which would probably be a problem for those sleeping in that dorm when people use the kitchen early in the morning or late at night. Receptionist was very nice and even helped me print out a bus ticket when I asked if it was possible.
It's about a 15-20 min walk from the bus/train station. Room was clean and hotel-like, bathroom was good as well. Downside was that there wasn't kitchen/laundry facilities, and there weren't many eating options around the area, unless you walk back towards the train/bus station.
There were only 2 other guys around when I was there, but the setting of the hostel makes it very easy and comfortable to chat with fellow travellers. Individual beds in dorms with big lockers, 2 toilets/showers, well-equipped kitchen. Only inconvenience was the location, as it was at least a 45 min walk (uphill) from the train/bus station and I didn't see any buses leaving from the train station to town. But the hostel itself is fairly close to the town centre.
Was only there for a day, but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful (shoutout to Janke for being such a nice person when I was checking in!) Directions to the hostel was easy enough to follow coming from the train station. Plenty of cafes and supermarkets nearby. Short walk to the old town as well. Rooms were spacious, toilets and showering facilities were ample. Well worth a stay if you´re in Bratislava.
7 mins of walking from Westbanhof, nearby cafes and supermarkets. Laundry (6 euros including dryer), well-equipped kitchen, large dining and chill-out area, cheap rates for beer during happy hour, spacious room and clean toilets. They even hv special lockers for you to leave your electrical gadgets to charge. Except for the fact that most rooms´ windows open out directly into the street hence it can be a little noisy due to people and traffic, everything else is perfect.
The place is essentially an apartment with 3 rooms - 2 single and 1 twin. One of the singles come with ensuite washroom while the other 2 share a common one next to the kitchen. The apartment is well furnished, with a cozy living room and a well-equipped kitchen. More importantly, as it was located on the 1st floor of the building, the apartment is kept nice and cool even in the middle of summer, which in Budapest can be absolutely skin-sizzling. Sandor was very helpful and accomodating.
