This is a fantastic little hostel that really helps you with what you want to do: get to the slopes and go skiing. The staff were great (especially Anna the Swede on reception!) and the common area was warm and friendly. The equipment they have for hire really helps, especially the ski clothes that you would otherwise have to rent at the slopes.
This hostel is amazing. The shared free dinner gets everyone together every night for either casual hangs or, more likely, as pre-game for drunken revelry when you meet the other party hostel groups. Octavian (?) on reception was super helpful and made sure everyone had a good time. Easy walking distance to everything, especially bus/train station. Honestly there isnt much they could improve. Will definitely return.
Two people had money and a laptop stolen from them while I was staying here, which doesn't really say much about the security of the place. The location is perfect for sight-seeing and easy to get to from the bus/train stations. Staff were very helpful, particularly with the people who had their belongings stolen. The breakfast was pretty good value too.
The value for money on this place is amazing, it couldn't really be any cheaper. That being said, its a place you should only stay if you aren't planning on spending much time in the hostel. The showers were pretty dirty and kept running out of hot water. Our room intermittently had no heating, which naturally made it very difficult to sleep. Some of the staff were helpful, but others were completely occupied with flirting with a large group of German/Dutch guests, and didn't seem to care.
Fantastic little hostel right next to the main bus terminal and walking distance to everything. The staff were bubbly and very helpful, and really made you feel welcome. The hostel really has everything you need and for a decent price too - I would stay here again if I ever come back to Galway.
The hostel was still pretty new so everything was very clean and well organised. The security wasnt great though, as you could fairly easily get into all the rooms on your level. Also the 'private' room on the top floor didn't have walls that extended all the way up to the roof, so you could clearly hear everything that happened in there. Yeah. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location couldn't be better. Would stay again.
Fantastic location, about the best place in the Old Town you could possibly be. The rooms are really spacious and clean too. The guy who runs it, Luke, knows all about the local area and was happy to help out with advice on things to do/see/eat. Really good price for what you get - definitely recommend.
Wow, where to start? On arrival I was practically ignored by the rude receptionist. My Kindle was taken from my bed and left in 'lost property' by staff. The cleaners randomly distribute items that arent' in your bag, so I realised after I left that my expensive martial arts gear has also disappeared. I came back at 3:00am one night, rang the bell for 30 minutes without being admitted, so I had to find emergency couchsurfing accommodation. Receptionist didn't seem to care about this. Stay away.
I was turned away at the door in the pouring rain and told "we have no beds available". I walked down the street to get WiFi, booked a bed in one of the 8 rooms still available, and came back and was let in. When I asked why, I was told "we dont take walk in customers". This is my 4th time staying here, and I have "walked in" twice. This will be my last time staying here. This stay had dirty bathrooms, no WiFi in the rooms, and was full of loud groups of stag parties. Take your money elsewhere.
Really great hostel in the perfect location right in the centre of Krakow Old Town. The staff were really helpful and friendly and tried to encourage a good atmosphere in the place which was very effective. Plenty to see/do/eat nearby. Definitely recommend if you want something central and lively.
Pretty nice little hostel, very close to a Spar supermarket and the main 4-6 tram line which is pretty important for getting around a city as big as Budapest. The staff were helpful and the place was clean, but there isnt really much of an atmosphere to the place due to no real common room (except for the middle of the big dorm). Its a good place to act as a launch pad for getting out into the rest of Budapest.
Fantastic atmosphere in this place, really great for meeting solo or small groups of travelers. It just seems to attract an interesting type of traveler as opposed to the rampaging drunken tools you find everywhere else. Also, its actually easily walkable from the main bus station in about 10-15 minutes if you have directions beforehand, so you don't even need to use the tram. Definitely recommend staying here for the staff, hostel itself, and for the people you will meet. You won't regret it.
Pretty stock-standard hostel close to both the train station and the centre of town, but Ljubljana is pretty small so most of the places are. The staff were nice and helpful and the place was clean, although the showers were those ones where you need to constantly hold in the button for water to come out... pretty awful on that front. Not a whole lot of atmosphere going on in the common room, but that could have just been while I was there.
Really helpful/friendly staff and owner in this place who also run the bar downstairs - which is conveniently where the town's nightly pub crawl leaves from. Its a bit of a further walk than the other hostels, but only about 2 minutes extra over the top of the hill.
Its a bit far out of town, but the tram easily reaches it within 15 minutes at any time of day or night so this isnt a problem. One of the best atmospheres for any hostel I've stayed in - the nightly campfire and BBQ cook up naturally draws everyone together. Staff are very friendly, open, and helpful despite the 100+ staying at the site. Definitely recommend if you want a slightly different hostel experience.
This is not a hostel - it is a hotel in which you can pay less to share rooms. I booked this in haste without checking reviews so it's my own fault, but the hotel was filled with very large groups of school kids, scouts/girl-guides, contiki/top-deck tours, and not much else. The atmosphere suffered significantly because of this. Staff would forget me 5 minutes after talking to me because of the number of guests. Great location and good value though, so if in a group this is a nice place to stay.
Nice little hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. It is very close to a metro line which is basically the only way to traverse taipei. Common room is nice, but it was kind of lacking in atmosphere when I was there. The power outlets with built-in international power converters were a nice touch!
Good location, only a few minutes walk from a shop and from the old town main road. Staff were great. Could use some better curtains on the windows, very bright in the morning.
Great staff, very helpful. The hostel is just outside of the old town, so you get a good location without tonnes of noisy nightlife on your doorstep. There were construction works going on next door while I stayed which began at about 6am. Very annoying, but out of the control of the hostel I guess. They could probably add an extra computer in, as it is kind of difficult to get on to the 1 that they have.
Only stayed here one night but it was pretty good. Seems like a pretty big hostel! There was a travelling gypsy band staying while I was there which added a lot of atmosphere to the place. Staff were very friendly and very helpful, even though I was just staying overnight. The door to my room was constantly unlocked, but that was more the peoples fault than the hostel. Would probably stay here again if I came back to Warsaw.
The owner was great, added a personal touch to the place due to him living on site. Happy to spend time giving you tips on where to go and what to do. The location is great - right in the centre near town hall square. Unfortunately it was a bit quite when I stayed here so there wasnt much of a buzz in the place, but it seems like it would be nice when there are more people. Waffles for breakfast are a nice change from the usual toast and cereal!
Not really anything to complain about here. The staff were great - actually bothering to remember the names of individual guests even though there were over 60 of us staying there. The location is convenient enough for everything in the city, but not in the middle of a noisy area so you can actually sleep at night. Great views of the river too. Will definitely stay here when I am back in Riga again.
This place gives you the benefit of a small hostel (only 12 beds), with the owner living on site and adding a real personal touch to the place. At night, you can sit around and play with the real live bunny, or head out to all the bars nearby with the owner as your personal pub crawl expert! Seriously an amazing place. Ilze the Burt Reynolds impersonating Latvian who lives on site and helps out with everything also makes everyone feel at home. Stay here. Do it.
Location was horrible, even using the tram it takes at least 25 minutes to the city. No food options close by. No anything closeby. Staff are friendly when approached, but always stay behind a glass screen in the office. Toilets had a terrible smell even after being cleaned. Large group of school students on the last day. Breakfast was really good value. Hostel was cheap for Helsinki, but far from good value for money. Don't recommend. If you do stay here, buy a transport card ASAP.
Making people pay for bedding is a bit of a rort, even if it is on the booking page - no one brings all of their bedding around Europe with them. Other than that, this hostel was fantastic. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the Central bus and train stations, alcohol shop, 7-11 stores, restaurants, and you can easily walk or catch the metro to anywhere in the city. The hostel has enough people in it to be fun, but still feels cosy inside. The staff were amazing, going out of their way to help.
Location was good, but Amsterdam is small so its quit easy to get everywhere from anywhere. If you have a room facing the street, expect to be kept up by partygoers until about 3am. There is only 1 toilet and 1 shower for an entire floor. Price gouging on weekends, but I guess they cant be blamed for that; although a girl in my dorm was paying 55Euro for a night when I payed only 40Euro, somehow. The staff change over quite a lot - some are very helpful, others are completely uninterested.
A pretty nice hostel in a decent location in Osaka, not too difficult to get to subway lines and very close to 7/11 and Family Mart as well as a popular restaurant strip. The bar down the bottom is pretty cool, especially when there is live music on. The style of the hostel is very cool - very artistic. Staff were helpful :)
Nice clean hostel in a convenient location in Kyoto. You can walk to most of the major tourist attractions - although this is true of most places in Kyoto. The common area upstairs is great for meeting fellow travelers as long as they are willing! Very comfortable and friendly atmosphere, and staff are helpful if prompted :)
This hostel is great! Do yourself a favour and stay here! :) Staff are awesome, they will help you with any requests you have and are more than happy to come and hang out with everyone in the common room, or even help you cook food! The hostel itself is very clean, warm and welcoming. Anyone who has stayed here will know they have the most comfortable beds/blankets in the world. Location is a few minutes walk from 7/11, Family Mart, restaurants, and subway. Will definitely be back!
Do yourself a favour and stay here :)

Its a bit out of the way, you have to walk along a muddy unlit track which can be a bit treacherous at night. The rooms are nice and clean, and the staff are very helpful in every respect.
Stayed in 2 bed private with ensuite. Bed was quite noisy, and the toilet leaked a bit. Otherwise, this was probably one of the best hostels I've stayed at, mainly because of the people. The owner, Zackry, is very welcoming and helpful with everything. There are also a few other long-term guests, such as Nathan, who makes sure that everyone is included and having a great time every night. All in just a general good place to go for a good stay!
Stayed in the 6 bed shared dorm. Average sized clean rooms with big beds. You have to pay for a blanket which is a downside, but recommended, as it gets quite cold at night with the aircon. It is true you can hear some footsteps upstairs sometimes, but overall its no more noisy than any other hostel. Recommended. Also, use the shower upstairs in number 3 :)
My third time staying here - 1 minute walk to a well connected LRT station, 5 minutes walk from China town markets, next to some very good chinese and indian restaurants. Rooms are spacious and very clean, with huge comfortable beds. Wouldnt stay anywhere else.
A good location if you want to do some shopping in KL - right next to the Times Square Shopping complex. Otherwise, its only a few minutes walk to the nearest monorail or LRT station. Great staff and clean rooms.
A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for - a great hostel in a great location... watchout for the last step before the second level!
Large clean rooms, very very close to the main party area but still quiet at night, and absolutely fantastic staff willing to help well beyond the expected level to make sure you have an awesome time. Dont stay anywhere else!
2nd time staying here - again impressed by the staff and the cleanliness, and the general friendly feel of the place. Beds are enormous! Recommend going down the road that the hostel is on towards China Town to a place called 'Reggae Bar' for a night out!
Jenny and Daniel are awesome hosts, make you feel like you are staying with friends rather than a hostel. Very clean and across the road from 24 hour food and cheap beer! Can recommend :)
Great staff, they were able and willing to help with anything required. The beds are fantastic and VERY big! The whole place is very new and definitely feels like it, its more like staying at a very friendly hotel than a cheap hostel, but for a fraction of the price!
Its a fair bit out of the way but the public transport runs all day and nights so its ok. Good staff and nice rooms
Awesome hostel, definitely recommend the tour with AK!
Very well connected by bus to the old town and beaches. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very large and very comfortable. Can recommend :)
Absolutely brilliant hostel. Good common area where everyone gathers for drinks and etc. at night, and the owner even got up at 4:30am to check us in and make us coffee! Definitely recommend to anyone staying in Split
Staff were absolutely awesome. Extremely helpful with any request you had, and werent adverse to stazing up till 43Ö in the morning having a few drinks with the guests either!
Good location, extremely helpful and friendly staff (even late at night and early in the morning), decent prices and very clean. Would definitely reccomend.
