Cool place, especially if you want to meet people and party! Caipirinhas are cheap!
The hostel is an old colonial house, directly on a small beach, with a cute, cosy garden. Beautiful place! It's also at a walking distance (10 to 20min) to the other best beaches in Itacare. It's very clean, and the staff is helpful. However, the breakfast isn't included as said in the description, it's 7 reais a day. And, to my opinion, the one that is given is insufficient. Other bad point if you mind noise: there's a snack playing really loud music every evening right next to the hostel.
Great stay at Holandes! It's located a bit out of the center of Abrao (but it's still very close, easy to get there), in the forest, which we thought made it more fun :) Very cosy, with hammocks everywhere, and the breakfast is the best!
Everything is very well organised and well explained for such a big hostel! Free pasta and free breakfast are definitely a plus! The only negative point is that you get so easily lost through all those corridors, floors and rooms...
It wasn't what I expected from the description on the website! I had no key for my room, and there was no locker. No personnal light, only one stark neon light for everybody + the "exit" red light lit up all night long; so this was not so comfortable... Staff was never to be found at the desk! Location is ok because 2min walking from a subway station, but not to a walking distance from every place of interest. I would recommend to follow the instructions to walk from the central bus station when arrivi
