Nice clean hotel with a dorm room. Very kind staff. Roof terrace and well located. The quality/price ratio is the best I found while travelling through Jordan ( I stayed in the dorm). The only downside is that Madaba hasn't got a lot to offer, but this has nothing to do with the quality of this hotel.
The town of Fidar hasn't got much to offer. I stayed here to visit a few sites in the area and for that it was good enough. Byblos is only a five minute bus ride from Fidar. Clean rooms, balconies with a sea view. There isn't a hostel atmosphere in terms of getting to know a lot of other travellers and go out together.
A good hostel with a nice atmosphere. You'll meet plenty of travellers to go visit other places outside of Beirut with. Armenia street, where a lot of bars and restaurants are, is only a five minute walk from away.
An oasis of peace and tranquillity. Ideal place to do nothing but relaxing. They serve excellent food at the restaurant. I stayed here for two days to recharge and continue travelling Egypt. Can't recommend this place enough. If I'm ever in the area again I'll be staying here. It is a shame though that some of the guests litter on the beach when there's always a bin in sight.
They provided a good tour to Mount Sinai and Saint Katharine's. Other than that it lacks atmosphere and my bathroom wasn't particularly clean when I checked in.
Best place I've stayed in in all of Egypt. The people running this hostel really know what they are doing. Everything you need is provided. The rooftop terrace is fantastic. There you'll have breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening. The atmosphere is as it should be in a hostel. Got to know a lot of travellers that I met up with later in other cities throughout Egypt.
Had a great time staying in Ekadolli. They serve excellent food at the guesthouse and can arrange tours to Abu Simbel at a very competitive price. The rooms are spotless, beds comfortable and the showers have descent pressure. The village of Gharb Seheil is calm and relaxing. I recommend to stay here instead of in Aswan.
Kind staff, good location. There are 2 metro stops for 2 of the 3 lines within walking distance. It lacks atmosphere, but I saw that in most places I stayed in throughout Egypt. They could empty the waste basket in the bathroom on a daily basis. Thanks to Egyptian plumbing, you can't flush the used toilet paper. You can imagine what the waste basket looks like after 5 days.
Centrally located hostel. Clean rooms and showers. Comfortable beds. Don't go to bed before the bar closes though. It may lack a common room, but then again there's a bar.
Already left a comment about this hostel when I stayed here a week earlier. It must be somewhere among the other comments.
It's a place of peace and tranquillity when it comes to hostels, with a cosy and homey atmosphere.
Helpful staff and a good location. Great environment to meet other travellers. Try getting the room on the top floor, it has a sauna and a jacuzzi.
The nicest staff and an excellent location. Good restaurants and bars in a very laid back part of the city. Most of the highlights for both day and nightlife are within walking distance of the hostel.
Just see the review I left here this same day.
Even though I only stayed here for one night, I had a great time. The location is ideal, the staff helpful and the place is clean. The common room is inviting and you'll probably meet other travellers to go out with at night.
Because this hostel is so big, it is booked by very large groups. Entire classes of school children/students. This creates an atmosphere I don't like. The hostel loses its function as a social place for travellers to meet each other. I only used it for shelter and for that it's good enough.
The location is great. Luckily there are lots of things to do and see in Mumbai, because you don't want to spent a lot of time in the hostel. I got the impression that all the privates were booked by couples and that there was just one dorm. At night the wifi is turned off.
The place is basically a hotel with one dorm room. It has no hostel atmosphere. The swimming pool may be nice once it is summer, but when I was in Jaipur it was pretty cold.
The view from the roof terrace is nice and that's about it. My room wasn't particularly clean and at night time it would be really cold in there. Hot water wouldn't always work properly. There is no atmosphere of meeting other travellers like in a hostel.
This hostel has a very European atmosphere to it. It would score excellent in every category if I would compare it only to the other hostels I've stayed in in India. Still I gave an honest judgement. The staff will help you out the best way they can.
As I said in an earlier comment, this hostel needs to do something about the unbearable heat during the summer months. And why should I have to connect to the wifi every time I would like to use it? Once should be enough. Besides those two things it's a decent hostel.
The hostel should do something to keep the rooms cooler. The heat was just to much. The thin mattresses don't provide any comfort. The patio is nice though. A good place to be in the evening, enjoying the barbecue and having drinks before you go out. The staff could be better informed on their city, although this is something I encounter in lots of hostels.
I picked Wombat's because I had stayed at the one on Mariahilfer strasse and the one in Budapest before and both times I had a good experience. Wombat's wasn't to blame for the heat in Vienna, but they could do something to keep it cool inside the hostel. The heat was unbearable and it seemed cooler outside than inside the hostel. Neither am I a big fan of a wifi system were you have to log in every time you would like to be connected. Once should be enough.
Great place, location and staff. Had a good time. Everything still looks new. Nice beds. Just make sure that the hot water doesn't stop running for too long and improve the wifi. That way we can all log on.
Just an average hostel. Don't expect too much of it. Make the best out of your visit to Dublin by meeting friendly fellow travellers.
Stayed in Wombats Vienna before, so I chose Wombats again for my trip to Budapest. Would give this hostel a 100% score if it weren't for the too slow wifi internet in the lobby. Maybe in the future they can install wifi in the rooms. Staff is very helpfull, although they could brush up a bit on their knowledge about their city. But these are all minor details. One might become too much of a critic after having stayed in this hostel.
Close to the mayor historic sites, friendly staff. No swimming pool, although it says so if you look at the list of facilities. They don't accept creditcards. When you pay cash make sure you get the right conversion, not theirs. Drinks in bar are more expensive than in downtown Istanbul, no wonder nobody starts their night here. No partying atmosphere, nightlife is pretty far away. Apparently turkish cable doesn't offer football, couldn't watch the Champions and Europa League matches.
This was my second time staying at this hostel. The only reason I picked this hostel was because it looked better and had a better rating than the other parisian hostels on the website. I stayed here for 5 days and never have they given me clean sheets or towels, apart from the first day. And still they manage to charge 40 a night. Drinks at the bar are overpriced if you take the location into account. The bar is not a hostel-bar, because it is open to everybody.
The staff is fantastic, they're very kind and will help you as much as possible to enjoy your stay in Warsaw. The hostel has a great location for both day and nighttime activities. Happy hour at the bar is a good moment to meet fellow travelers. Having to go up six stairs to get to your room can be exhausting after a long day or night. The common area is very small.
Just read the review I wrote on this hostel. It must be among the other ones written in april 2011. Great establishment!
Great place, fantastic staff. In the evening they serve dinner, which you can sign up for earlier during the day. After that everybody goes over to the bar and has drinks together before going out. I would recommend it if you're going to Lisbon. Especially if you're travelling alone, the place is great to meet people. You can watch all your football matches live, projected on the wall in the dining area. The staff really adds to the quality of the hostel.
Probably one of the best hostels I have stayed in if you look at the price-quality ratio. Opposite of a railway and metro station. Friendly, helpful staff. Mainly young guests staying here. The bar is a great place to start your night before you leave for a club and it's also a nice place to meet fellow guests / travellers. Had a great weekend here.
