Amar Niwas Guesthouse

Jodhpur, India

This place was not as the reviews suggest - small, hot, cramped room without closing window. Tiny desk fan made for a very hot night. Cut our stay short - which was the best decision we made.

The Explorers Nest

Jaipur, India

This was my second time at EN - and was certainly as good if not better than my previous stay. The place has everything you could possibly want at a guest house - great location yet off the Main Street (quiet), comfortable rooms, great atmosphere, hot showers and excellent hospitality from Arvind and Vishay. If you are visiting Jaipur you need to stay here - you won't be disappointed!

it was such a tremendous surprise to see you back suddenly , without information, after two years. It took quite a while to register that you are here, again, with us. Wow. Thanks for the wonderful surprise . And you were the same hearty , friendly, caring person that you always were. You even remembered about my antique car! love you my friend and want you back here soon..but please do give some indication that you are coming back...surprises like this can make the heart jump very high. !!

Smyle Inn

New Delhi, India

Great hostel. 'Deluxe' suite had a rennovated bathroom - a welcome change for India! Clean, simple, but would stay again for sure! Breakfast wasn't much though ...

Hotel Payal

New Delhi, India

Not a great place. Was overbooked, so I was sent across street to 'sister hotel' where my room was missing a window, and was just above the lobby of an open plan - very noisy all night. Room was quite dirty esp bathroom. Bare in mind it was India.

Vinayak Guesthouse

Jaipur, India

Stayed here for new years eve. Hostel staff incredibly helpful, roof was a good way to meet people, and the room was very funky and comfortable!

Mewargarh Palace

Udaipur, India

Great cosy little hostel. Roof is excellent way to meet people/admire the views over udaipur. Room was spartan but comfortable (if not a little cold - winter). Very secure, quite. Don't miss it!

The Explorers Nest

Awesome. Arvind was an incredible host - a great way to see a bit of india from the inside. Loved Arvind's stories, insight into the fascinating realm of india, the artefacts on display. Incredible experience -- if you don't stay here you are missing out!

Rose Home Stay

Agra, India

Pretty average every way.

Did not stay here as map placed hostel in centre of trivandum - it's actually some 40km away. BE WARNED

Very spartan. Very very basic, but relatively safe (prison doors), good place to meet people -- just don't use the owners private bathroom!

Anjali Inn

Mumbai, India

An incredible way to arrive in India. Raj & co are the most friendly, helpful hostel owners I encountered. Great atmosphere, great for meeting fellow travellers - close to the airport, a decent 30minutes train into the city, but its worth it for the experience! Would HIGHLY recommend. Little on the pricey side though.

great place! love simon and phil
