A great hostel. It was a great place to stay. Good kitchen facilities and lots of interesting old buildings and churches to see.
Guests were not supposed to walk inside the small lobby with their flipflops but put them aside once inside near the entrance or inside the shoe boxes. There were guests who did not observe the unspoken instruction thus leaving dirt inside the otherwise clean lobby. The staff should make it a point to clean their lobby regularly to make it truly welcoming. A small point but your feet feels it. Should clean the single rooms every day if only to take away empty water bottles.
It was a pleasant stay in a clean air-con dorm room. The room could do with a small table for writing as it is spacious enough. The restaurant downstairs provide good food - reasonable price but small portions (in my opinion). The owner is always at hand to help with the wifi etc and even knock on the door for a morning call in the absence of an alarm clock. :)
Good location and friendly staff. Kitchen and communal space together makes the space feels rather tight and compact but you adjust to it.
This must be my second time at Wombats so it speaks for itself if I have come back here again. A great hostel in an interesting neighbourhood and close to Alexanderplatz station.
Good hostel. Free wifi and breakfast. Good view of rooftops from outdoor balcony.
Good location and great friendly staff. Good vibes and atmosphere. Overall a great hostel.
Loved the home-like atmosphere of the hostel, a proper living room, spacious dorm room with balcony view and well-equiped kitchen and other faciities. Location okay and you have an amiable young owner of the hostel always ready to welcome you and open the door for you. Can't ask for more. Recommended.
This hostel is not for the party animal or those who hope to chat with fellow travellers as there is no lounge as such. It is suitable for those who are happy to come back to a quiet room to rest. Did not see many guests so there is a good chance you can have the room all to yourself which is really great. Location is fine as it is not too far to the bus/train station and also a short walk to the important sights.
One of the better hostels that I have stayed in my 3 months of travelling - Excellent location, great helpful staff, good facilities like spacious common room with TV, spacious kitchen and bathroom/toilets and free internet. Dorm beds are okay. Recommended.
Great location close to railway station and friendly and helpful staff. They can do your laundry for a reasonable charge. Didnt like my dorm room too much because it is in the basement with a small dim window but strong fan kept the room cool enough at night. Otherwise good place to stay.
Hostel management was open to suggestions for improvement of facilities so have given them a few ideas. Fairly good location as the hostel is near to the city centre, Tourist Info office, and main attractions.. Friendly staff.
Not a real hostel as such but more like a Bed and Breakfast. It suited me fine as it was living in a real home furnished with the owner's taste and not the typical rowdy hostel with a lot of people coming in and out. I had peace and quiet which I cherished as I had the place to myself for two nights. Location is great as it is close to all the main sights. There is no staff to speak of but everything else is in place including the breakfast which is set for you for the next morning. Great place.
Generally good. The hostel is not too far to walk to most of the tourist spots.
No complaints. Good location of 5 to 10 mins walk to the city centre. Staff is helpful.
This hostel has a good location in the high street and lots of eateries all around. No real space for guests to mix except in the rooms itself. Quite clinical looking but good facilities.
I like this hostel - modern and cool. Helpful staff. Good facilities. You have to pay for breakfast but it is good qualtity breakfast and worth it. Excellent location.
The hostel is alright and has a great location. I was not happy that for the two nights I stayed there, there wasn't a "full" breakfast that was served. Only coffee and juice was offered. We were told the bread man hadnt made their deliveries and so all the guests could only have coffee or tea. We were charged for breakfast so if there was no bread, the management should have thought of quick solutions eg offer cereals instead etc.
Not too difficult to find the hostel and quite a good location as it is within walking distance of most eateries and tourist attractions.
Good location and friendly staff. More suitable for the younger drinking crowd though. Bathroom floor often wet and doesnt dry fast enough. Overall, a good hostel.
I had a good experience of the hostel here. My room had a fantastic view overlooking the street and above it, the old city and Cathedral high on the hill. Very helpful staff who takes the time to explain the whereabouts of the city to all new guests of the hostel.
This hostel is really great and I can fully recommend it to fellow travellers. Great location, spacious rooms, friendly staff, a large kitchen, a good breakfast, a garden too and good facilities - nothing to fault here. Nearby is a lovely Azuleja blue tile covered church - a distinctive landmark
I would say this is a pretty decent hostel and you get what you pay for. Overall, I was happy with my stay there. The owners are helpful enough and the rooftop where you take your breakfast is lovely and wonderful to have a beer in the evening when it is breezy. For a good meal, five steps in front of the hostel is a restaurant belonging to another hotel which serves good reasonably priced food so you do not have to go out too far in town for dinner etc. Internet available and bicycles for hire
A good hostel in an area where there are a lot of food shops and fairly cheap restaurants . Fairly good facilites and good value breakfast for 3.50 Euros.
This hostel has a big kitchen and dining area and a garden that would be great in summer. The staff are friendly and helpful. They offer a free tour of Pisa, guided by a young cheerful lady which is great for first timers wanting a feel of the city. Location is good, close to the train station though a bit further from the airport.
Enjoyed my stay here. The hostel is steps away from a U-bahn station and there are food shops around. The staff were helpful if you needed anything. The facilities they provided were good. The weather was dreadful but I cant blame them for that........
The facilities are very good, such as the kitchen, toilets and showers. I also like the IKEA type sort of look for their common areas. Overall,i enjoyed my stay here.
This is a great hostel. Location is perfect, so close to the river and the lovely vistas and the iconic Crane is so close by as are the many historic churches. Big home style kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. It is the low peak season now so if you stay here, you just may have a nice big dorm room all to yourself. Not to mention friendly staff.
Great location - within walking distance of most key sights. Staff helpful enough. A very busy hostel even in mid-november.
Love the huge "home-like" kitchen and bathrooms - Not the tiny bathrooms and very small kitchens that most hostels provide. The common lounge is spacious too and lots of choice of DVDs for the telly. A short walk to all the main attractions.
Great location as it is near the Bus Terminal and Train Station and very close to the historic Old Town. Great facilities like a good kitchen, spacious lounge and adequate toilets and bathrooms. Most importantly the staff were very helpful and make the guests stay enjoyable and meaningful. I had a good experience here and can recommend this hostel wholeheartedly.
A lovely hostel and so close to the main sights. Not too difficult to get to from the ferry port of Lindaline if you follow their instructions. Great hostel and friendly staff. The city is wonderful with lovely views.
Great facilities like kitchen and bathroom. The staff at the reception were helpful. Hostel is in the harbour area so if you are travelling to Tallinn like I did on the Lindaline ferry service, it is convenient.
Stayed in a 9 bedded room which was really packing it in a 3 storey bunk beds. The only good thing about this hostel was its proximity to Victoria Coach Station and Victoria Rail Station which is convenient if you are taking day trips out of London.
The location is close to Hua Lamphong Railway Station and is a 10 minutes walk away. The hostel is in a quiet neighbourhood area and there are a few food stalls near it. I really recommend the duck noodle stall just 30 metres away. Delicious and good. Ate there twice though I stayed in this hostel only one night. The hostel layout and facilities has been well thought of for the needs of backpackers. Recommended.
A hostel with character. The better and more expensive cabins are on stilts and may face the river while my cheaper room faces the garden which is still good. Hostel is in the guesthouse area which means there are many restaurants nearby so no problem with food. The best thing is that right next door is a bike/bicycle rental shop which I found to be extremely convenient because I rented a bicycle for the two nights that I stayed here and cycled around the town to see the sights and to that bridge of cour
Great location as it is so close to the main train station and MRT station. Clean ensuite room and friendly staff. Would consider staying here again in future.
We spent a night here and had a great time in Ayuthaya and wished we had spent another day in this city because there is so much to see if you like historic ruins and wats. The sisters at Prom Tong are so helpful and friendly with lots of advice on what to see in this city. The location is great too as it is so close to the ruins, only a 5 minutes walk to the wat with the Buddha head encased by the roots of the Bo tree. The night market is great for cheap food and local colour.
Great location opposite to Mah Boon Krong Shopping center and the Bangkok Art and Cultural Center next door and right below the BTS station, with easy access to central Bangkok. Lots of food options around. Plenty of helpful staff.
The guesthouse is not in the city and takes 10 minutes by tuk tuk to get there. The rooms or rather cottage is set in a very rustic setting with a green, lovely shady compound. Lots of lovely plants and trees. Very atmospheric reception cum dining area, especially at night. Suitable for those seeking a rural retreat and ambience.
Fairly central location to explore the old city. If you like to explore Wats, then it is quite good and lots of restaurants nearby. Helpful and friendly staff.
