Paradise Cottage

Koh Chang, Thailand

The hostel is located away from the Lonely Beach 'centre', which some will view as an advantage, while others as a drawback. On the whole, I can't recommend it enough :) perfect place for chilling out in a hammock, watching the sea.

Byzanthin Hostel

Bucharest, Romania

A nice and clean twin room for a very reasonable price, not far from the centre, plenty of stores including 24/7 one, metro and some main attractions. The hostel is hidden in a small alley, has a bit odd family atmosphere cause of many - it seems - long term guests. Helpful and friendly stuff. Overall would recommend, albeit shower could be in better shape and kitchen could really do with an electric kettle. Breakfast extremley basic, on the upside decent coffee :)

Bucharest, Romania

Great value for money in Bucharest, a small studio, not brand new, but clean with balcony and wifi in the heart of Bucharest. Stuff helpful, although we received no answer to email later asking if we didn't leave something accidentally in the flat. The downside was the building, where the flat was - old and in very poor condition.

Sun Hostel

Belgrade, Serbia

A pleasant hostel off the main streets, 15 minutes (bus + 3 mins walk) from train/bus station, cosy garden, small, but nice and home-style kitchen and common space.

Pfefferbett Hostel

Berlin, Germany

Very clean, lots of peace and quiet, staff friendly and helpful. Everything a tired traveller might wish for, not a single thing to complain about. Lovely terrace, big showers, Rewe und Lidl 5 minutes walk away.

Yangshuo Outside Inn

Yangshuo, China

A wonderful place for a relaxed stay away from the bustle of more touristy spots, perfect for all kinds of outdoor activities/doing nothing :) Rustic, outside town and quiet so possibly not for party lovers or those who set store by luxury or modern interior. Seriously recommended to everybody else.

An amazing hostel and a steal at the price. Internet can be a bit unreliable, but from our experience this seems to be the case anywhere in China. Would def recommend/go there again!

Dar Bouanania

Fez, Morocco

The hotel is a riad - an old family house restored and converted into a hotel, which gives it a bit of a nice character. However, there was no hot water or light in the bathroom (the latter was fixed at our request). Cleanliness was questionable and the manager could definitely be more interested in how his guests are doing.
