LOVED the breakfast. Great courtyard with hammocks and chill atmosphere in evenings. Since all (most?) of the rooms face the common area, there's a strict 11 pm lights & noise out policy, which was very welcome. Little corner stores & bars in immediate vicinity, main Tulum restaurant strip and ADO bus station a few blocks away. Perfectly located if you choose to stay in Tulum town. Beach 20 minutes or so by bike on a designated bike path.

A cozy, beautiful place with nice inner courtyards to enjoy the outdoors. Good breakfast, hot showers, reliable WiFi. The private rooms are simple but nicely furnished and charming.

The 4-bed dorm was extremely cramped, with no room to leave your luggage, hang your towels or put your belongings. WiFi iffy at times. Not cheap, but then again all of Dubrovnik isn't. On the plus side, the young guy greeting me at the reception and showing me the hostel was very friendly. Also, the location can't be beat: superbly central and beautifully located in a quiet side street near one of the beaches!

Fabulous place! Great cafeteria on ground floor & fun bar upstairs. Helpful reception staff, clean bathrooms. But the BEST: spacious, light-filled 8-bed dorm with fantastic views of the castle and Grassmarket! The hostel's sleeping areas were generally very quiet; a bit of drunken street noise was nothing a pair of earplugs couldn't fix! The location of the hostel is tops.

Very helpful staff, fabulous atmosphere in the common areas, gorgeous back yard & pool. Very tasteful! Comfortable beds. There was definitely some noise from the outdoor area (for all bedrooms adjoining it) until about 2 a.m., but nothing that a pair of earplugs couldn't handle. Plus, GREAT music selection ;)

The dorm rooms are very small and quickly fill up with even small pieces of luggage. The bathrooms are even more cramped and almost always dirty. In general the vibe at the hostel is fun and the location is fabulous. Expect to be woken up during the night from loud, drunk guests and slamming doors in the hallway.

Spacious and quiet 4-bed dorm with robust beds. Major drawback: no lockers or any place within the rooms to secure stuff!!

Beautiful colonial building, fabulous rooms (spacious and quiet), friendly staff, excellent location near the plaza and close to a supermarket. About a 15-20 min walk from the bus station.
Thank you for your kind comments! We're glad you had a nice time at Las Rejas. You are welcome to come back whenever you need. Enjoy Argentina and have a nice trip!!! Sincerely, Las Rejas Hostel staff

Nice front desk people. Great little extras, like free drink, free dinner and breakfast included. The showers have undergone a renovation since the last time I was here -- very good! Excellent security.

The large dorm was surprisingly quiet, the whole hostel has a very laid-back, relaxing vibe. Nice! The food was delicious. Unfortunately the water was often no more than a dribble, sometimes shut off completely. TONS of mosquitoes--of course not the hostel's fault--but since the large dorm doors as well as the windows are wide open all day and all night, nothing is done to prevent the mosquitoes from bothering you all night :( The fans provided some relief. Juan at reception very helpful.

Very nice staff and good breakfast, but in the rooms lots of traffic noise and small, squeaky beds. Also not enough bathrooms!

The hostel is great (excellent location, very friendly staff, yummy ceviche place right next door) but the 6-bed dorms are extremely small :((
Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are looking into the six bed dorms to see how we can improve the space issue that you mentioned. We hope you will come back and stay with us again!

Fantastic rooftop Also great breakfast and extremely helpful person at the reception in the mornings (Wendy). Unfortunately the guys on the later shifts at the reception acted like they couldn't care less and spent more time in the TV room or out and about than actually at the reception. Rooms could have been cleaner...the trash wasn't emptied for several days and half-empty bottles of previous occupants were all around. I'd still recommend this hostel to anyone wanting to stay in El Centro!
