Great staff who were very chill and super helpful. Nice bar downstairs for some post-ski apres. Downstairs locker to store your skis. 3 min walk from bus stop to Sunshine Banff. Overall, a great stay. Only knock was--half this hostel was filled w/ Australians--some variety would be nice as they were long-term stays who largely hung out w/ each other (not sure what the point of flying halfway around the world is for to meet more Australians, but maybe that's just me). Common area closes too early

Good location if you're taking busses. Bad location if you're trying to explore Reykjavik. Security is a bit tricky on the downstairs rooms because folks can access without key card (people leave that door unlocked all the time). Solid facilities. Great price for Reykjavik. Limited atmosphere.

Fantastic hostel. Felt very cozy despite it's large outward appearance. On a chill afternoon can curl up w/ blankets and play board games/read books. Best atmosphere and met the greatest travelers--great to get out of town (Reykjavik) and come here for a wknd trip. Only suggestion is to add lockers, but security really not an issue in Snaefellsnes. Can always lock stuff in your car.

Great value for money and convenient transfer to airport. Solid facilities with helpful always-available staff. Terrible location. Ridiculously far from the center of town (20+ min walk to edge). No atmosphere and wasn't helped by the fact that there really weren't any events or natural activities for folks to participate in. Limited bar. Fine if you're just passing through for a night. People are very loud and talk in many languages late at night.

Excellent hostel. Beautiful rooms with very convenient under-bed lockers and places to hang your things. Also includes a hot tub and sauna (which could use an extra cleaning). Location is very convenient on the main road between Reykjavik and Vik. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere with events (e.g., Karaoke). Charging 500 ISK to rent a towel is a bit much given the services offered.

Fantastic location. Very clean and safe. A wonderful atmosphere with events hosted on certain nights. Very comfortable beds and shower. I do have one nit to pick--I was charged 2,700 ISK for a poor, tiny lock and cheap converter. This is preposterous. Even in Iceland, you can buy both for 1,000 ISK. Doing such a significant markup is a disservice to your customers--the point is not to gouge them for every cent, it's to provide convenience. Charge 1,500 ISK. Left a bad taste.
Thank you for your useful and honest feedback! I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our lockers. We are always looking forward of improving! Hopefully you’ll give us another chance, if you find yourself in Iceland again. Warm regards, Loft Hostel Team

Excellent hostel with the very best staff. Oksana in particular was incredibly helpful and clear. Centrally located and a short 10 min walk from most in-city sites. Solid security, very clean. Surprising number of Russians staying here. Only nitpick item that wasn't ideal--one restroom for eight people is a bit limited. Other restrooms exist, but across the entire hostel.

Really nice owner & staff (super clear introductions). Great location. Very positive atmosphere. A few suggestions: 1. Please add lockers to rooms, 2. Need more showers & restrooms for number of people. Otherwise, an excellent and enjoyable stay.

Very large, professionally run, but corporate hostel. Safe. Clean. Well-located. But, a few jarring items: 1. Folks were grouped into dorms w/ no regard for common languages... no one in my room could understand each other, 2. People of ALL ages (from children to elders), 3. Lots of ppl who had never stayed in a hostel before, 4. Having to heat your shower before taking it is ridiculous.
Dear Thank you so much for your feedback. Your comments are our number one tool for improving our hostel in the future. We are proud to welcome travelers of all ages from around the world. Our hope is that our guests will use our hostel as a space to meet and connect with each other. We try to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our guests through daily activities and events such as Hummus Workshop, Hamsa Workshop, Pub Crawl, Language Exchange, Open Mic Night, Indian Food Night, Yoga, and others. In each room, both dormitory and private, there is a restroom and shower. However, to take a hot shower it is necessary to heat the water for 30 minutes beforehand. The system works by using a timer in your room to turn on the boiler. This is a common energy saving system here in Israel and just one of the ways we keep our hostel eco-friendly. There are also communal showers available for guests to use at any time that do not need to be heated in advance. Your Abraham Hostels Team

Excellent staff--really drive a positive culture. Atmosphere is good for partying. Highly trust-based place: grab your own beers, pay at the desk. Take a towel, return the towel. Love that part. Only complaint is that everyone smokes cigarettes and a few folks will rudely blow into your face. Suggest cordoning off 25% of the terrace for non-smokers.

Good security with solid food option (#1 on TripAdvisor) located right next door. Room was exactly as promised. One thing that was strange: could not get a taxi for a reasonable price when booking through the hotel. I actually found cheaper taxi options myself, which is a bit unacceptable--the hotel is supposed to be an advocate on your behalf, not in cahoots to get 5 more Egyptian pounds out of you.

Staff was extremely helpful. The owner is great--assisted with laundry, had maps ready, and was able to accommodate specific requests. Only thing that would be nicer is updated bathrooms or turning the AC on at night, was a little hot. All in all a wonderful stay and perfectly located in the center of the old town.

Overall was great, however while I was there the power was out for a night (for the whole block). Atmosphere could have been stronger, didn't run into enough folks who were looking to meet ppl or go out. Otherwise, really comfortable beds that were made every day. Great tours (both city and food). Good beer. Fantastic location.

Jesus was an incredible host during our stay at Viajero. From start to finish he was engaging and came to greet everyone at the hostel and once more while we were at the beach to ensure we were all content. If you’re looking for a beach day I’d highly recommend working with the group events he organizes. And it’s cheap.

Not particularly impressed I must say. The hostel had a very passed-out vibe. Not many folks hankering to go out and people of a wide age range. People mostly kept to themselves. While the staff was nice, they could have been less lackadaisical. Facilities outdated. Not super clean. On the plus side, location was fantastic.

After 50+ hostels, I can say that this one deserves a rare 10/10. If partying is what you're looking for, look no further. Literally in the name. If partying is not what you're looking for, then stay in one of many other options in Seoul. It's really that simple. Owner and staff (Younis) are all amazing. Really great recommendations and the best atmosphere hands down of any hostel I've ever stayed at.

Staff was absolutely perfect. Great recommendations all around. Good spot to stay if you're just looking to do one day in Hiroshima. Atmosphere is basically non-existent. Vibe in common area is very much gap-year teens reading next to 50 year-old folks cooking spaghetti. No party is going to happen here.

Super clean hostel, but like most in Japan asks you to make your own bed. Enjoyed the location, simple walk to key sights. Staff was mixed bag, one was very welcoming and friendly; another should be re-trained: rude when she spoke, no idea how to explain simple concepts, nonplussed. Best shower and great value. One strange thing was that despite having all the pieces to create a good atmosphere, very few ppl were meeting. Maybe re-arrange downstairs area (very separated) and organize activities.

Everything about the hostel itself was great: while not in center of town, it's only a 5 min ride away. Hostel has spectacular views. Great place to have a beer. At 9 pm every night, they project a movie on the first floor. My major complaint is that the Komodo Dragon tour I booked through this hostel went awry; the boat was not what they showed me in pictures and we started sinking with the first mate bailing out water for an hr. Make sure you see the same boat!

We all loved how this hostel does a free full-hostel dinner--it's an incredible way to meet people. The central pool & courtyard is a natural crossing point for everyone. I'd say ~75%+ of folks were surfers. The staff were welcoming, particularly the foreigners who were volunteering. In addition, the owner was extremely kind and accommodating to special requests. Only thing is location isn't close or far from anything, so perhaps best to rent a bike. Also, Single Fin's bus leaves too late.

Great hotel / hostel. Among the most comfortable beds I've stayed in in any hostel hands down, on par w/ Bamber in Auckland. On top of that, they make your beds every day. Solid location, 5 min walk from the Monkey Forest. Nice pool with bean bags to sleep on and at night there's a small gathering. If any feedback: I checked in at 1:55 pm, and staff insisted I wait til' 2 pm to be shown to my room lol. Toilets are very far from some rooms... it's quite a quest if you're top floor & bunk at night

If you're going to stay in Seminyak, this is hands down the best hostel! Incredible staff, props to Luka, Iker (sp?), & Michelle. Location is just down the street from La Favela. Cheap drinks all night with special events like 50% off Ladies night. Great food. They also run a fun party bus to Single Fin's on Sunday, which is an awesome tradition. Having stayed at 50+ hostels, this is one of my favourite. If anything to nitpick, while the restrooms are clean, a few locks are falling off.

Absolutely fantastic hostel with the best atmosphere available -- folks down to chill and lounge around all day, folks down to adventure forth on bikes led by staff, folks down to play drinking games, etc. What else could you ask for? Safe, clean, friendly staff. If there's an area for growth: faster service at front desk and speedier tours would make this 10/10. Instead, 9.7 is pretty great.

Helpful staff and very interesting key security system (one shared key per dorm). Very clean. Two issues: 1. Location is a little out of the way and 15 minute walk to nearest ATM. 2. The prices the hostel offers are ridiculously high. Booking the exact same trip in town saves 10-20%. I can accept a 5-10% surcharge, not 20% for a 10 minute walk. This is not the way to satisfy your customers.

I find that I very rarely give a hostel 100% in a review anymore (although 97% aplenty). This place has earned it for the nicest front desk girl with a staff that provides the first service I've received in all of Greece, a cute little terrace, located in the heart of old town with a great restaurant nearby, solid Internet connection, friendly residents, en suite kitchen!, air conditioning, great windows and balconies, upper bunk ledge and charger, mirrors, en suite bathrooms. Perfect, 100%.

Great hostel if you're into chilling out hy the pool and meeting people at a good price. Pretty much most vacationers to Santorini in this age bracket I feel. Just be careful to insist on a much earlier airport transfer time than they recommend as we're prerry sure a few folks missed their flight. Could use better Internet.

This hostel is very rare--it does some things well and other things like a train wreck I've never seen before. Good--great location, walking tour, and atmosphere--friendly people, terrace, Bad--choppy Internet only available downstairs, loud obnoxious groups (thx busabout), Ugly--the longest checkin of any hostel I've ever stayed in (1 hr long lines and this happens consistently), impossible to get help from reception due to lines, no service attitude to speak of, poor management (ok staff)

The Croatian guy who checked me in late at night was hilarious. A very intuitive hostel, things are basically where they're supposed to be with limited surprises. My room Def had a great atmosphere going, while the building had lots of families staying there too. Take note other hostels, this is how you set it up such that families can get their rest and the young folks can have their fun. Good hostel, shame I couldn't stay longer. Hard to get internet in rooms though.

We arrived late at night and they took care of everything. Some of the nicest rooms I've seen in a while. Only a few minor downsides, atmosphere was a little hard to achieve given that many people were families and Internet did not work well in the rooms only in the lobby. These are small gripes as the security, location, and quality were all top notch.

Terrible hostel for two reasons: 1. The girl staff member is awful and I heard so from multiple other guests as well. An attitude and attempts to help you with nothing. 2. Hostel totally nickel-and-dimes you every step of the way. 3 Francs for sheets?! Explanation was that some ppl come w sheets and it costs that much to wash--um no, extremely few travelers allocate space for sheets and you can wash 25 sheets for 3 francs. This is just a way to make money off your guests. Nice terrace.

Good hostel, but only by Parisian standards. Lots of points of feedback. Staff is way too arrogant--I understand this is Paris, but this is a service industry geared to foreigners. One desk member's English was poor, but kept assuming she knew what I wanted before I could tell her. Cleaning woman yells at guests to leave when it's not their checkout day. Directions to hostel are misleading--not walkable with luggage. Basically they have a very typical closed-minded ParisIan approach.
Bonjour, Thanks for your feedback. We're glad to read that overall you enjoy your stay. I'm surprised to read you found us arrogant & sorry for that. The team is combined of foreigners & we all believe that a welcoming & friendly staff is important to our guest to feel at home. In the dorms the chambermaids clean the room even if a guest stays as we need to have beds and room clean for new guests. I'm also surprised they yelled as I never hear them doing it. See you soon. Regards, Mgr

This is a party-ers party hostel. A shot as you walk in, it's well-located in the old town. I was very close to giving this place 100% when I first walked in--the beds looked so comfortable on frames that don't shake or creak at all. In addition there's a curtain for a wonderful night's sleep. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to really strong detergent and that's what they used (only happened one other time in 40+ hostels). In addition, wifi was terrible in rooms. Great ppl, competitive foosball.

The best hostel for musicians that I've ever seen--piano, guitars, tambourines, accordions, stage equipment, etc. Also, would have an incredible top-notch atmosphere if the staff didn't shut things down at midnight. Beds were quite comfortable, but wifi internet was terrible. Location is quite a walk from a random metro stop not near the city center. Most disappointing was being housed in an entire separate location 50 meters from the actual hostel and where everything was happening. Also, groups of girls coming in at 2 am and turning on the light is unacceptable. I wasn't asleep, but other people were. Please just make the beds for us so they don't have to go through the process of doing so. Fix the WIFI.

Very fascinating atmosphere. The only place where you'll see people playing beer pong, next to people playing Magic: the Gathering, next to people playing chess. Poor location is made up by a surprisingly comfortable night's sleep. The staff is solid and will help you with whatever you need. Solid hostel with interesting people of all walks of life. Staff is a little stuck up in their nose-raised kind of way, but I don't assume that's going to be much better at another hostel in Quebec City. Nice little book exchange. One of the best hostels I've stayed in, the beds are incredibly comfortable. Would love to have stayed here after a long flight. They have a shelf for the top bunks and chargers within lockers! Great atmosphere, lots of fun people to meet. In fact, everyone I met was really cool. Only complaint is that the staff are unreasonable slow at their jobs, but hey, I guess it's South America. I feel diametrically opposed about this hostel. Great security, staff, and value for money. Terrible cleanliness, atmosphere, and facilities. I was put in the downstairs room by the front and it was horrible. Two long-termers never even said, "hi" to me despite me staying 3 nights and greeting them. The room smelled damp and moist. Was bitten by mosquitoes. The bathroom was open top, you could hear people pee all hours of the night. That being said, really helpful staff and it was cheap.

Great hostel manager and staff. A couple of long-termers who are actually quite welcoming. The location of this hostel is fantastic, close to both the fingers beach as well as the main beach and casino. The security is a bit lax, but then again, how dangerous is Punta del Este? People walk home at 2 am with casino winnings. Cleanliness is something that needs to be worked on and the facilities are rudimentary. Upstairs has triple height bunks, which is the first I've seen. Very safe hostel that's clean and has good facilities. Great if you are tired from a long trip and just want to rest up. If I may add one minor suggestion: please put in a shelf for those in the top bunk. It's a mess trying to place your phone, water, etc. up there while sleeping. Really nice hostel, probably the best option in La Paz. Has its own internal bars which are great for a safe night of drinking in. I booked my Death Road bike ride with them and it worked out quite well with Altitude Biking (I lived!). I was luckily placed in the fourth floor room which is quiet, airy, and features no bunk beds. The blonde girl from California who works at the front desk is one of the most helpful people I've ever met in terms of hostel staff. A+. Great showers, generally good character/atmosphere. This hostel was really budget. As in only stay here if you're really in a pinch or need to catch up on a few hours of sleep before your next flight. I cut this hostel some slack as far as location: you'll probably struggle to find a better located place for this price. Clealiness and facilities are absolutely horrible.
