Nice Nomads hostel, one of the better ones I stayed in during trip in OZ. A little walk from the main streets in Cairns, but didn't really bother me. Friendly staff and spacious rooms. Enough facilities.

Choice Backpackers

Auckland, New Zealand

Centrally located. Not enough facilities for the amount of people on one floor and they could have benefited from a thorough cleaning. The atmosphere in the hostel was quite dull. Wouldn't recommend it if you're planning on staying for a longer period in Auckland.

Lahinch Hostel

Lahinch, Ireland

Although spending just one night in Lahinch Hostel, we had a pleasant stay. Pity we couldn't surf because of the tiny waves, but we certainly recommend staying here when you're on a surf trip in Ireland. Its location is just ideal!

Barnacles: first Dublin, now Galway and yet again a very good stay at this hostel. Super centrally located in the middle of busy, little streets in Galway. Close to, yeap, everything. Nice breakfast, a little noisy in the 14-dorm, but we didn't mind. Friendly staff and easy to book your trips at the front desk. We certainly recommend staying at Barnacles!

Derry City Independent Hostel

Derry, Northern Ireland

We had a very pleasant stay in Derry. The hostel has an awesome relaxed atmosphere, good breakfast, is centrally located and Steve (the host) is a lot of fun. We certainly recommend this hostel.

Quart Youth Hostel

Valencia, Spain

Basic hostel, not centrally located, but it's easy to find the wayt to city live and bars. Staff was not always that helpful.

Barnacles Temple Bar House

Dublin, Ireland

Great hostel! Very friendly and helpful staff. If they don't know the answer to your question right away, they make sure to look it up and get it to you later. We've got some very good suggestions for places to grab a bite. We would definately recommend Barnacles, situated right in Temple Bar, close to, well, everything. Good value for your money. There's 24h reception and doors operate on card keys. Lockers under the bunk beds. Very basic breakfast, but we didn't mind. Must do: Comedy Crunch.

Yes! Porto Hostel

Porto, Portugal

Most comfortable bunk beds ever! We had a pleasant stay. The evening dinner was nice, great to meet people. The pub crawl afterwards was fun but not so well organized..combined with another hostel, 30 people was just too much, so it lost the atmosphere we already had going on in the hostel itself (with 11PM shot o'clock for instance). Breakfast was nice and the staff was ok. We would though not recommend the free walking tour adviced by the hostel. It was rather boring and not that interesting.

This is Lisbon Hostel

Lisbon, Portugal

Good hostel, great view over the city at night, nice breakfast. But apart from those things we would not highly recommend this hostel: it lacks atmosphere, the staff is quite rude and lazy (not all of them). The free walking tour with Mara was interesting, just don't expect the usual tourist info about Lisbon. She has her own point of view on the history & recent developments in the city (thumbs up for her though). Group dinner was expensive and we had to pay during the meal, bye bye atmosphere

Alentejo Surf Camp & Hostel

Vila Nova de Milfontes, Portugal

Unfortunately just for 3 nights, but it sure was a pleasure staying at Alentejo Surf Hostel. Cozy hostel, awesome feel-at-home atmosphere, great to meet people, well taught and fun surf lessons from Sergio, (who's the best host by far). We would definitely recommend it and will come back to Alentejo for sure.

Isaacs Hostel

Dublin, Ireland

Great hostel, but we went during a rather calm period (beginning of april) so we missed the friendly spirit. There were some larger groups as well, which makes the atmosphere more like a school trip. Anyway, we had a very nice stay in Isaacs Hostel, easy to find, helpful staff, comfy bunkbeds, clean lavatories, safe lockers. Sometimes it can be noisy, but hey, everyone's having a good time, so who cares. We never made it in time for breakfast, but I imagine it's good as well.

Really glad you liked us - it is certainly getting busier now if you want to get into the hostel spirit of summer !

HelloBCN Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

We had an amazing time in HelloBCN and Barcelona. Although it's a large hostel with a lot of rooms, it stays a cozy and great hostel. We will most certainly book with these guys again when we come back. Breakfast is quite extensive and tasty, thumbs up!

Activity Hostel

Budapest, Hungary

The kitchen table is too small. The fact that there is only one bathroom working is pretty anoying when the hostel is full and when we read your reviews this has been going on for 2 months, so actually we thought it would be solved by now . The staff was ok. But sometimes they act like they know a lot and they can help you with everything but in fact we ended up dissapointed a few times. Plus: a bigger map would be useful, not just one of the city centre!

High Life Hostel

Krakow, Poland

see review we filled in with you :) thanks again for the lovely stay! Hanne and Jana

Old Town Hostel

Zadar, Croatia

kitchen table is very small and a microwave or oven would be handy.
