Euro Youth Hostel

Munich, Germany

Had an awesome stay in three bed dorm. Room was very spacious, basin in the corner and table and chairs. Huge lockers with a shelf too- fine fitting suitcase in. Bathrooms were clean, only complaint is that the water pressure from showers was terrible (took 15min to wash hair!!). Breakfast was a bit pricey too, but seems standard for hostels. Cheep bar drinks made up for it! Would stay again!!

Astor Queensway

London, England

The staff at this hostel were really nice. Someone always on reception to help you out with whatever you needed. The TV lounge room was a nice place to chill and watch a movie in. The big under-bed security lockers were great for storing everything in, but unfortunately the mattress was really thin and the pillows very lumpy. Not just my bed- quite a few people from a few different rooms said this too. The place could definitely have done with more bathrooms and showers.

6 bed room was very squishy with no back lockers and not much floor space for everyone's bags, but the bathroom ensuite was very good. Bar downstairs is good for chilling during the day and partying at night. EXCELLENT location in Brighton, right opposite the pier.

Hi thanks for your feedback. we have recently added some more lockers in each room so every person should now have their own locker. we also sell padlocks at reception. Most of our 6 bed dorms have a lot of space but inevitably with six people in a room sometimes things can become a little bit more cosy. Hope to you again soon. regards russell newby general manager

Pretty good deal: you get access to everything at The Village (computers, bars, lounges, laundry, etc) but you sleep in a much quieter building less than a minutes walk away!

Hi There Thanks for your comments, it seems you had a great time and got to party hard then sleep easy, as we can offer both these options as we have two very different bars attached to our two very different hostels on Borough High St and you are right, it's only a minute down the road. Hope to see you again some time soon. Kind Regards Michele Kaye Manager

Arden Park Ensuite Rooms

Stratford-upon-Avon, England

For not much more money, I decided to forgo a hostel and spoil myself with a B&B room. So glad I did. Any packbackers out there sick of slumming it, definitely book a bed in this place. Clean sheets! Towels! Ensuite! Television! Amazing.

Oxford Backpackers Hostel

Oxford, England

Girl's bathrooms could definitely do with a renovation. As could the kitchen, or at least clean it once in a while. Food over a year out of date was clearly visable! Beds were comfy and rooms were nice. Excellent security, but remembering so many codes was a pain. Key card access is so much easier! Good location.

Hatters at Hilton Chambers

Manchester, England

Free toast is a brilliant idea! As is the amount of DVDs on offer to watch on TV. Beds weren't overly comfortable and no bag lockers, but overall it was a good experince staying there. Bathrooms were very good!

Jumbo Stay STF/IYHF

Stockholm, Sweden

Don't expect fun times when coming here. It's literally just a place to sleep before catching an early flight. Not many people stayed so no one to talk to, and the TV had very few english channels. Still, the experience of staying the in jumbo was very cool and the beds were SO so comfy! Bathrooms pretty clean too which was nice.

Astor Museum Inn

London, England

I'm sure the rest of the rooms are really nice, but I was put in room 1 which is in a dark corner of the hostel and right next to the stairs that everyone uses to get to the kitchen so it's noisy at breakfast time and at night as everyone is going out. The lockers didn't really lock properly either and the sink squirted water everywhere. Other than that, a BRILLIANT location for exploring London and the free breakfast was pretty alright. I'd stay again, but request a different room.

YHA Cambridge

Cambridge, England

a bit of a walk into town, but not too bad really. bedrooms were very nice but the beds and pillows were dreadfully unconfortable. could have done with some security lockers too!! staff were very helpful though and the common room was nice. a bit difficult to meet people though as a very quiet hostel. overall, i would probably stay again, but not for a long time.

St Christopher's Camden

London, England

could have done with small security lockers in each room for passports and wallets etc, as the cage lockers for the bags were alright, but not the best. other than that, everything was perfect. good comfy beds, breakfast was nice and bathrooms were clean. would definitely stay again.

Samay Hostel Sevilla

Seville, Spain

Nice, clean hostel with good beds and bathrooms. The kitchen was amazing, best I've come across so far for cooking. The upstairs terrace was a nice place to chill over a few drinks in the evening. Could have done with lockers in each room, but other than that, a very good stay. The washing-drying service is a bit expensive for 8€ though.

The Monkey House

Lagos, Portugal

This hostel was alright. The beds were noisy (plastic covers) and the ´pillows' were lumps. Not enough power points in the rooms, if any at all, so couldn't plug the fan in! The common room and terrace areas were wonderful however and a good place to meet. The worst thing was that the place was very disorganised. We were randomly told to move rooms halfway through the week and people who had booked were turned away as the place was full. The kitchen needs a good clean, as do the showers.

Yes! Lisbon Hostel

Lisbon, Portugal

This hostel was AMAZING! Huge comfortable beds with shelf for storing things. Big lockers with good security. The 8euro dinner and drinks deal was such good value and a good way to meet people. Hostel in excellent location for transport for day trips. The common room was so comfy with the couches and bean bags. The highlight, though, was the friendly staff who were always helpful, especially when my sister got sick and needed a hospital. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!!!

Rome, Italy

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The free breakfast and dinner weren't anything special, but considering they were FREE, who cares! I stayed in the main building for four nights and that was good as located close to the kitchen, but when i was moved to the newer building, i found this to be a lot cleaner and modern; more like a hotel than a hostel, very nice! A common room apart from the kitchen would have been nice, but no big deal. I would definitely recommend staying here!!!!

Cinque Terre, Italy

Stayed in a 3 bed dorm with awesome views over the water in Riomaggiore. Apartment was good except the bathroom was very small and the stove didn't stay lit very well. The daily cleaning was a nice surprise though as I wasn't aware that was included. I'd definitely reccommend this place to friends because of the location and quality of accomodation.
